EX Maps

When You said that you get EX Maps from a random monster, Does it come from monsters where one of their drop items is a piece of Equipment? For Example: If I were trying to obtain a Hallowed Bastion Map, Could I only Get it from Bats, Lesser Knights, and Pedestals Who Drop equipment? Or can Wolves, Bandits, Garudas, Basilisks, Gargoyles, and Bandit Soldiers drop a Hallowed Bastion Map even though they don't drop equipment?

I'm not confident with this answer but, I think every monster in the said map would drop the EX map even if it doesn't drop any equipments it's just that the map has a low and random chance of obtaining it.
