There are hints the monkeys tell you as you finish their quests. A few are that princess deedee has a pink bow in her hair and a turquoise skirt; prince abeabe has a blue hat and glasses; and one has a gold earring (the mokey just says it went missing and I don't remember if it was on the boy or girl.)
