The background color of the PSP changes monthly.

Speded738 was right but if you want to change the color go to
-settings
-date & Time settings
-date and time

Now just change the month, your date will be a little off but the BG won't be pink

Xicano_gamer was right as well, but there is another way. Follow these simple steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Theme Settings
3. Theme
4. Then Just select a colour.
However you can also select a saved picture to set as a wallpaper. To do this:
1. Go to Photo, Memory Stick and choose desired photo.
2. Alter it any way you like by pressing the triangle button to bring up the options menu.
3. With the menu still up, move around it until you find the option 'Set as Wallpaper.'
