You can unlock all level 2 vehcles by dong festival races and earning points. The level three vehiles however are gotten from invitational races. the first one is unlocked with 13 stars i beleive

I have completed the game and have got gold in every event and I've got every car plus the downloadable rally car from playstation store which makes the game the collectors edition so it's really easy to get all cars

For the first two vehicles of all classes... Earn festival points and for the last vehicle (of all classes you must win invitational races which pop out from rank 5..............and you will need stars to unlock them
