How do you trap the elder dragons with the pitfall and shock traps?

Elder Dragons cannot be captured. It's just few of the monsters in the game that cannot be captured, but you can cave them up to 10 times while they are alive.

You can't trap an elder dragon with a pitfall trap but shock would be able to =)) and bring items such as large barrer bomb/ bomb and any sword that has poison attribute =))) poison weaken the following elder dragon's ability: Kushala Daora, Rusted Kushala Daora,Chameleos,Lunastra & Teostra. While kirin use any other sword plus lots of explosive would kill it =)
And you would like to try using Queen Blaster III while handling chameleos due to it's weapon's nature, Queen Blaster III without charge has wide spread effect then you can pim point where's that chameleos.
Lunastra & Teostra, actually either poison or damaging their forehead's crown would eliminate the heat ability around them.

Cannot but you can kill kushala doara in forest by sandfall use first flaming,thunder,clust,crag,when this ammos is finish time for rapid fire normal lvl 2 for combo until he die can carve 4 times

You cannot trap legendary dragons. You must slay or repel them =]
