Well, both the Congalala and the Khezu are weak to fire. If you're just starting out, I would suggest using Kut-Ku Stave I against the Congalala. For the Khezu, you could try to use the stave or you could use Wild bow I. Materials needed listed below. Tip: Capturing a monster will give you more materials than by slaying a monster. Hope this helps.

Kut-Ku Stave I:
5 Kut-Ku Shells
5 Kut-Ku Scales
2 Flame Sacs
4 Carpenterbug

Wild Bow I:
4 Congalala Pelts
3 Sharp Claws
10 Bones

You can only capture a monster when it is weak. Some monsters will start to limp away when they are weak. i.e. Kut-Ku, Rathian, Rathalos, etc. The best time to capture is when you damaged the monster so much, they run to another area and start to sleep. At that point, set a shock or pitfall trap in front of the monster and then wake the monster up by paintball, kicking it (hit select with weapon sheathed), etc. Once the monster is in the trap, throw about two or three tranq bombs on it. By the way, some monsters don't limp at all. i.e Khezu You have to gauge how much damage you think you have already inflicted. I forgot which ones, but there are also certain armor skills that tell you when the monster is ready to be captured. Hope this helps

the easiest way to kill the khezu is with a bow gun. the secret to kill the khezu in the snowy mountains is to go to room three and hide behind the lip on the ledge. none of its attacks will hit u. and just fight it there until it dies. you don't have to move at all. that's its heeling room so it can't heal if ur always there.

The best way way to find out any of the monsters weakness is to to build your character very balanced, with carefull consideration and thought. DO NOT build your character around one weapon type, use your equipment screen and edit your customization for each set for perfect balance. This game takes ALOT of patience, up your gunnery skills, sword skills, and etc. Remember to use your edit equipment screen in your room to change sets according to your next fight. Even if you have to do the same missions over and over again it is worth it to build a well balanced character. Then no monster is much of a problem anymore.
