How do you get plates from Rathians and Rathalos's I've cut of they're tail tryed everything I could to get them please answer if you know

You need to kill the ones in the guild the ones in HR5. Im here to help.
One of the best ways to get plates of either wyvern is to make sure you cut off the tail, you have a 12% chance of carving one if you carve the tail. Also if you capture the wyvern on top of cutting its tail off, you have a higher percentage to get a plate. Sometimes they drop them when you wake them up from there sleep. This is about a 3% chance that you'll get a plate from them
