Multiplayer problems

I started playing mhf2 with a friend but the Ad Hoc didn't work.I think I have the euro version of mhf2 and my friend had the aus version of mhf2. I was wondering if this was a problem when it came to playing multiplayer and if you know it's not and you have any other solutions feel free to tell me.

That actually sounds like you've already figured it out. The only thing I could recommend is that you get the same version as your friend or vice verse (probably whoever has the most work/time put in should keep theirs) and try again. It seems a little unlikely but always remember to double check simple things like: Is my wifi switch on...... Is my ad-hoc channel automatically set or set to the same channel... Are we within ~20-30 feet maximum distance. If all else fails the only recommendation I have is to either enjoy single player or buy the other version.
