Ruststones

I need help. I'm trying to get a ruststone but I can never get one. I go to the 4 star volcano gathering quest and I mine in area six in eight. And every time I go there I don't get one. I've tried over 20 times and still nothing... Please help!!!!

Well, thats unfortunate, but I can help. If your taking a Village Quest, your not going to get it, but take a Gathering Hall quest, and you should. There's also a way to increase your chances of getting the ruststone you want from a gather spot. Its a Felyne Whim skill called "Felyne Gathering", and it increases the chance to gather more from one spot. Theres also an armour skill called "gathering+1", and this skill also increase that chance for getting the max number of items from that gathering spot, whether it be mining or bug collecting or even herb finding. All you really have to do is mine in the volcano zone but bloodhawk has some good strategies

Here's an easy trick try getting all the pickaxes and mine from all the miningspots in area 4. Next in area 5(area 3 is optional). Next is area 6 and lastly in area 8. Trust me, it works.(p.s. All the mining spots are required.)
