How do I do a take down on a racer and an elite racer?

You have to have some boost and when you see the racer or Elite to the left or right of you within reaching distance hit the UP button on the D-pad and perform a Sideswipe on them. Alternatively when jumping off a boost pad and are behind them hold the DOWN button to perform a Stomp on them. Those are the only 2 ways to perform a Takedown.
by stomping or sideswiping but u need boost in oder to do one of these.
When you start any race with an Elite, they will ALWAYS be in the back on your right or left. A simple way to take them down is to grab first, then hang back until he/she tries to pass you. Then simply smash them and boost away!
When you have some boost catch up to a driver and press up on the d pad or if you want to stomp a driver jump and hold down on the d pad
