Question for MediEvil: Resurrection

In Scurvy docks it's says I need a bird on my shoulder am I meant to get the seagull and if yes how do I get it?

You need to get the time rune and use it on it's gate, you should get a fish and use it near the fountain. The seagull should come to you and you get it
