The Thing isn't very bright and he doesn't have ranged attacks. So when you start a battle with him, hit him with as many ranged attacks as you have. And try to keep your distance from him. He may not have ranged attacks but he's a helluva hand-to-hand combatant. When you run out of power, try throwing stuff at him.
