You need to select the "Abounding Crystal" when Melding commands. Also, you need to make sure you've selected the correct Commands to meld, otherwise you'll wind up with Abilities such as: Lucky Strike, Link Prize Plus, or EXP Chance.
Here are a few that Give "EXP Walker" for Terra:
ABOUNDING CRYSTAL
Blackout - (Zero Gravira+Poison)
Blizzara - (Aero+Blizzard)
Blizzard Edge - (Quick Blitz+Blizzara)
Break Time - (Curaga+Focus Block)
Deep Freeze - (Binding Strike+Blizzaga)
Ice Slide-(Air Slide+Blizzaga)
Payback Fang - (Sliding Dash+Counter Hammer)
Poison Block - (Poison+ Block)
Poison Block - (Poison Edge+Block)
Renewal Block - (Curaga+Block)
Slot Edge - (Cura+Poison Edge)
Slot Edge - (Curaga+Focus Block)
Zero Gravira - (Aero+Magnet)
Remember to make sure the Ending result is one of the above Deck Commands. You can view what your Melding Results will be if you have the correct Recipe Book. Otherwise you'll get ????? When selecting commands to Meld.
