Yes there is!! I'm not sure where you buy it from, but I'm sure there is one as i've used it. If you don't want to buy it I think that you can find one somewhere in island 2. Enjoy

Yes ther is a flamethrower but where I can't remember
It is best to go on the user submitted cheats or possibly the hints

Yes, the flamethrower can be found on prawn island. Go across form the movie studios (face east) and you will see a building, go behind it, and find an alleyway, the flamethrower is donw that alleyway.

Yes enter the cheat left,right,x,up,down,suare,left,right and in the weapons you should have it in there and to get more ammo for all the weapons you got keep entering the cheat

Go over to prawn island and to interglobal film studio oposite the BIG entrance there is a one way street, follow that and you will see a burnito (tuned up van),near their should be an alley,look down it will be a flamethrower.

Also in the mission Light My Pyre Mendez has one but you can't take it which sucks.
