I have beaten the game yet I still get lost in the story when ever I play it. Does anyone know like what is actually going on, or can fill me in on some important details?

Okay... The hero knows whats going on (later). The Corpse Brigade doesn't (until later). The Cardinal and Dileata know what's going on. And the white and black Lions know what's going on.
