Completely stuck at Riovanes Castle against Wiegraf

Like the questiontitle already said,
I'm completely stuck at Riovanes Castle against Wiegraf.

My main character is a lvl 26 with Knight Maxed.
Also all of my other jobs are lvl 4+.
No mather how hard and how many times I have tried,
I cannot beat Wiegraf.
The problem is that I can't get out anymore to train either,
Since I saved the game in the pre-battle stadium.
(where to change your job, or can edit your party)

Is there any way out of there ?
Or am I forced to try to beat him now.
If that's so, then could you sir please help me with giving a good hint in how to beat Wiegraf. ?

Thanks.
Greetz Nexigen.

Comment:(Sep 21 2008) yup, Ramza is filled with Diamond armour, and the gamehunter sword. but that guy hits 169 on me.
Wiegraf hits me first, so that i am forced to run.
(when i attack, im dead for sure, since his second attack will kill me). so theres no way for me to kill him. :(.

It's way easier to be a dragoon and kill him that on his first and second stage. If it's the one on one thing, thats the easy way. All of his stuff is safeguard on it. The Gigas person is simple if you use the same strategy while having your people stay away from his stone and confuse effects.

gigas dies when you use lich on him with a knight that has summon and a white robe, also agrias with hollowed bolt can stop them from casting their op spells. a time mage with throw items (hi potion, pheonix down, gold needle) possibly mp absorb and teleport is good as well
Rangerman answered:

Yea, I am so stuck there to, but I found out that the best way to do it is to get the best equiptment, be a knight, and have party as one of your abilities. Then have items. When you get low on health, retreat back having a walk of 5 and heal using Potion-X. Then get back in the fight. Note: to pass it you have to block all counters from him.

Level 46, aced dragoon, still can't beat this son of a ram. It's a year or even more sinc3 I stuck.
gamer8199 answered:

I turned Ramza into a ninja then equipped him with 2 kodachis. Just go to wiegraf and rush him with whatever you have. Use the same strategy for the Gigas.

Guest answered:

I mastered squire and knigt chemist 3-rd level and how can i use these powers to win wiegraf (i don,t have dragoon either)(((((HELP!Thanks.

Guest answered:

Hey. If you think the Wiegraf fight is hard, wait until the next fight. You have to "Save Rafa", although you don't actually get a turn before she gets mutilated. Fun, fun.

My Ramza was level 41-43, Knight class.
Battle Skills
Punch Art / or Elemental
Counter
Two Swords
Move 3

I had around 355hp, so his first attack took almost half of my hp. Two Swords allows a single attack from Ramza to do around 400 damage with two platinum swords.

I've played the game before, so I knew to put some meat on before attempting the fight. I've been stuck plenty of times. Of course, it doesn't matter how strong you are for the rooftop fight because... let's just say it's literally impossible to win.

I actually changed Rafa into a Knight to give her more hitpoints, loaded her with gear, changed her abilities to where she couldn't reach them to attack... and the game changed her back. It undid all the changes I made to her and she dies anyway. It's ridiculous. I have a healing math-skiller with Holy, an attacking math-skiller with Flare, a mastered samurai-monk, and a mastered Agrias-lancer. But what does that matter, Elmdor uses marasume, one uses stop bracelet, and the other kills her. Every time.

if you have your casters set as mathermatickians (or whatever it's called) then their speed is terrible, you need to change their job for that battle so they are quicker
Guest answered:

The simplest way I've found is to use Tailwind (the squire ability) while staying out of his way. it will be tough at first but you can stay alive easily if you are a monk with chakra, and after three or four turns you will get two turns for each of his. The reason this is my favourite strategy is that your speed carries over in to part two of the fight, giving you at least two turns per round.

ramza uzumaki answered:

No.. No this is not quite true ..I have beaten that lucavi with Getting so strong ! don't get into the Castle until your hp becomes 689!and don't let Agrias and Mustaiado dies......

Guest answered:

well i think that u should equip the icebrand and platnim plate and crystle helm (the one the game hunter wears). Then become a squire and move 1 and get behinde him. I think the squire has a better chance to use the icebrands blizzera effect.

Guest answered:

I defeated him using my lvl45 darkknight . Its really easy killing him by using crushing blow that deals 600 damage and when my hp is low I use sanguine sword .it's like what gaffgarion always use.

Guest answered:

You should start a new game and do the ff:
Have the knight and blackmage job mastered
Then level up these jobs to lvl8:ninja,samurai,geomancer and dragoon
At last,defeat(kill or cristallize)20 enemies
The darknight job helped me a lot try it!!!!

Guest answered:

Just use dragoon. I'm at lvl 27 with ramza dragoon, another generic dragoon, agrias, mustadio and a black mage. Easy fight if you just jump him to death Smile same for belias.

Guest answered:

I managed to get past that using a black mage. Since enemy skills are 100% hit rate, try equip accessories which enhances speed (even +1 makes a difference as you might start first)

If you start first, then use your most powerful skills and aim at him. It should be able to damage him enough to let Wiegraf transform.

As for Belias... With my speed at 8, I was able to launch a Bolt 4 on the enemies before they could move, and that dispatched 2 of his lackeys, which would make the fight easier. Anyways, throughout the battle, spread as far out as possible as that will delay your team from getting killed in one round.

Another thing, I found out that the boss can be silenced (though the possibility is quite low)

yericko ferdinand answered:

You shall need crystal helm from luso
Change your job to dragoon
You need to jump on wiegraf
When wiegraf is critical wounded he shall turned to gigas belias you must attack him with all your power
Belias health is 1000+

Guest answered:

I found the most stupid way to win the fight on the roof. Ramza and 3 black chocobos. Since you just need to put one guy down: Piece of cake.

Guest answered:

Run away and use yell to increase your speed until you get at least two turns to his one, then increase strength with accumulate until you can kill him in one turn.

Guest answered:

Here's how I beat him. I mastered his ninja ability, then switched him back to a squired and set double sword on. Buy the most expensive sword possible. Then use yell to speed up. Then run at him at hope he doesn't block your hits. You should be able to take at least 160-200 per hit. Then use your throw ability to take the rest of the damage which send him to his feet. I'm still stuck on when he transforms though...sigh any help would be appreciated.

Guest answered:

Easiest way to win this whole challange Honestly, Be a Squire. Have the abilities Accumulate & Yell. Equipped the abilities Item (with hi potion) Weapon Guard, & Move +1 on. After the 1st time you are hit, run away and use yell...repeat until you have 50 speed. Then use accumulate. This process takes time however by the time you are done, Ramza can take out the entire stage by himself before any else moves

Guest answered:

Dragoon with jump horizontal at least 5 and vertical 2 or 3
Archers bane (the one that boosts speed on damage)
Move +1 or +2
Jp boost just for fun

When he walks forward, walk diagonaly next to him (down one left one) then use jump, he can't counter he will run away and then use his stuff agian, cutscene triggers, then without moving, use jump again and he will transform

Beating his transformation is a bit harder, but if you have a summoner that knows lich, make him a knight and make summoning his second and give him a white robe. Also teleportation is nice too since he keeps running away. You will also need agrias because the belias won't die from just one lich (it does around 550 or so dam) another good person to have is a time mage with throw items (haste, hi potion, pheonix down) with defensive equipment instead of magic or they will die

Good luck with the next mission though >:(
