alright the easiest way to kill it is by... let it hit a wall and throw a spear at it or just throw a spear at it but the spear has a low chance of hitting so its better to let it hit a wall and throw 2 spears at it and WALA thar you go and ull kill it :D

stay out of his way. switch to spear and throw it at him, that will do a lot of damage. pick up another spear off the ground and throw that at him, he should die then.
Wait until the rhino starts running at you, as soon as you dodge his charge, throw your spear. It only takes about 2-3 spears to defeat the war rhino
Get your spear ready and wait for it to charge at you. Once it run in line towards you. Spear it using L X SQ. It will run away upon strike.
Pick up another spear and wait for it and apply the above technic.
Or
Wait for it to stop. Only when it stop then you are able to damage it. (total 4 spears will bring him down)
No point spear it at side while it's running. No damage to it and worst you will run out of spear.
