Get to a good start cheap

If you are just starting the game, or a new driver. And you want to get to a good start on the game with the little money you got. Then you can try to do the following thing.

1.) You will need to buy the "Dodge Neon". It may not look like it. But it will end up with better handling, acceleration and top speed than most of if not all the cars you start with. And you will need it.

2.) After buying your car, you will need to upgrade it. Do the following upgrades in the folling areas:

(20% Engine): Valvetrain & Cyl. Head - 1, Bottom End - 1, Fuel System - 1.
(11% Drivetrain): Driveshaft & Traction - 1.
(16% Rims & Tires): Tires - 1.
(6% Controls): Engine Management - 1.
* If you run short on money, then upgrade the last one after the fist race.
* You can get the "Grifter Spoiler" when it comes available. But no more upgrades or anything until your finish with the "Drift".

3.) With the car like this. You will be able to complete all of the "Drifts" 1 - 10. All you need to do is to go for the inside of the targeted areas, just don't hit the poles. And use "E-Brake" (are) on the PSP to make the car to go into a last minute drift. Also use the "E-Brake" to keep drifting if your car starts to come out of the drift in middle of the target area.

When your done with the "Drifts". You will have some more powerful cars unlock. You will a lot of "Visual Upgrades" unlocked. And you will have around 75,000 points to buy cars and/or upgrade the way you want.

* The Dodge Neon (after upgrading) is also good for almost all of the other aeras, where you need high speed turning.
