Good question.. but a tricky one to choose.. they all influence me to some degree. But overall if my friends like it and are playing it then I will almost certainly want to get it.

I would go for a review, however it's most effective when having a demo play at a certain game store, but other than that, I reckon my opinions are like my friends so if they recommend it, why not give it a shot?.

Well i look at ratings and if more than one person has rated it less than 3stars then i leave it and keep looking.

Our guest is right.Ratings of a game is what influences many,since it is the opinion of gamers worldwide.However,you should always remember that ratings can sometimes be misleading .But well,past experience with the series can't be misleading now can they?!

I had a though choice between the past experience of a game series, and also developer.
What does the developers background come from, if it's a group of developers that specify on one thing or a wide selection of programming aspects and engineering.
That's what I think makes a game overall. If the developers only handle specific things, one thing in a game can be good while the rest is rubbish.
But you never know, sometimes you might be surprised.

I was going to pick past experience with the game but some really good games don't have a series yet or at all, so I picked reviews. Mostly coz if it's a good game a lot of people will be talking about it so Yh.....,,
