Pokemon Red Gift Pokemon Listings

Also introduced in Pokemon Red was the concept of Gift Pokemon. They are given by a number of non-playable characters in the game, and they can help you along your long journey. A number of these Pokemon, such as your Starter Pokemon, can't be found anywhere else in the game.

There Are A Total Of Six Gift Pokemon In The Game:

#1) Starter Pokemon In Pallet Town: The first gift Pokemon your receive, suprisingly enough, is your Starter Pokemon from Professor Oak. This Pokemon is at Level 5, and can be either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.

#2) Fossil Pokemon In Mt. Moon: At the end of Mt. Moon, you will receive a fossil that you can later revive on Cinnabar Island. The Helix Fossil will be revived into Omastar and the Dome Fossil into Kabuto; both Pokemon will be at Level 30.

#3) Old Amber In Pewter City: After you have and can use the move Cut, you can take the back way to the Pokemon Museum and find the Old Amber. This can be revived as well on Cinnabar Island, and you will receive an Aerodactyl at Level 30.

#4) Eevee In Celadon City: If you take the back entrance to the Pokemon Mansion in Celadon City and go up the number of flights of stairs, you will find an Eevee waiting for you. It will be at Level 25, and can evolve into Jolteon (Thunderstone), Flareon (Fire Stone), or Vaporeon (Water Stone).

#5) Lapras In Saffron Silph Co Building: Directly before you face off with Giovanni in the Silph Co Building in Saffron City, you will be in a room with a trainer that will give you a Lapras. It will only be at Level 15, but with a little training, can be a fantastic Pokemon.

#6) Hitmon Fighting Type In Saffron Dojo: If you defeat all the trainers in the Fighting Dojo, you will be given your choice of a gift Pokemon of Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan. Both Pokemon will be at Level 30, and have incredible strengths.
