Glitches Overview
But even with the number of changes in the Digital Versions of Pokemon Red, there are all of that and more of factors that have remained constant. And this include Glitches.
Glitches are bugs that were unintentionally in the software of Pokemon Games. They can be triggered or activated because of mistakes in the coding of the games or by stipulations that developers weren't expecting. And thus, consequently, causing the game to react completely random and unexpected when they happen.
Glitches can be as less serious as just a graphical issue or audio malfunction, to something as hazardous as either corruption or even deletion of a saved game file.
Since Pokemon Red was apart of the first games released by the Pokemon Company, there were MANY glitches found in the game. Some of these were corrected later in the First Generation Game, or not until a later generation. Even with a Digital Copy release of the game, these Glitches still persist.
One would've thought that the developers would rectify these oversights from the first time around; however, that isn't the case. Now, gamers from the original generation can reperform these glitches they once did on their original copies. And, aforementioned, there are plenty to perform, some even unique to the nationality of your Digital Copy.
There are almost too many glitches to name and explain, and far too many to do anything more than simply describe them and how to activate them.
