Ditto -- Move Glitch: This glitch is done by sending a Ditto into battle and switching around it's copied moves with the Select Button. After the battle is over, Ditto will no longer have the move Transform but a move called --.

0 Error Glitch: This Glitch is similar to the Mew Glitch, but is done on Route 6. The player must approach the Bug Catcher on Route 6 pause the game when the trainer notices your player, then use Fly to go to Vermilion City (similiar to the Mew Glitch). You must then walk east on Route 11 and battle any trainer, but they have to be able to walk toward you after they spot you. After defeating the trainer, return to Vermilion and talk to anyone besides the owner of the Machop. The player can then return to Route 6, and a battle will instantly happen. After winning the battle, a Text Box reading 0 ERROR will appear. Thie error will cause graphics to be altered and slowed, and noise can also be heard. You should never save during or after the 0 Error Glitch.

Draw Battle Glitch: If a battle ends in a draw, which is a loss to your player, the victory theme will actual play instead of the losing one.

Bide Glitch: The stored Damage from the move Bide can be unleashed on a Pokemon in the air using Fly or underground using Dig. If damage is done, the sprite of the Pokemon will appear.

Cable Club Escape Glitch: This glitch allows a player to exit the Cable Club without resetting or powering off their game. In order to perform the glitch, a player must have a poisoned Pokemon faint while in the Club or by using the Safari Zone Glitch and entering the Cable Club when using up their steps.

Catch Rate Glitch: This glitch allows a player to have the same chance at catching a Pokemon with one half of their maximum hit points or less when using the Great Ball.

Non-playable Character Glitch: With this glitch, if a player uses the walkthrough walls glitch and flies to Lavender Town, they can change the sprites of all non-playable characters to that of the player. All they must do afterwards is walk to Route 12 and walk down the side of the Gate. That's it. And this glitch will last until you fight a wild Pokemon.

Counter Glitch: In this glitch, the move COunter has the ability to cause damage from an attack that wasn't Normal or Fighting Type. For this to happen, the opponent must have used a Normal or Fighting Type Move the turn before but not able to move the next turn.

Critical Hit Glitch: THis was more of an error than a glitch, and causes Focus Energy and Dire Hit to quarter the chance of a critical hit instead of quadrupling the chance.

Cut Glitch: The Cut Glitch can be done in one of two ways: 1) By cutting down the invisible tree on Route 14 and walking five steps to the left, thus becoming blocked by the tree again, or 2) By cutting a tree and standing on the area it was then saving, thus standing on the tree when then reload the game.

Cycling Road Glitch: In this glitch, it is possible to go on Cycle Road without a bike. All you must do is hold down the left button while the guard at the Gate tries to stop you. You will automatically be given a bike once on cycle road.

Defrost Glitch: If a frozen Pokemon is defrosted before it has the chance to move in the same turn, it will use a move that same turn, even though a move wasn't selected.

Ditto Glitch: If a player catches a Pokemon other than Ditto that uses the move Transform, it will be referred to asa Ditto once caught.

Divisible By Zero Glitch: The games will eventually attempt to divide by zero during damage calculation if the attacker's current Attack/Special Stat is higher thann 255 and the defender's Defense/Special is lower than 4 OR the defender's Defense/Special stat is 512 or 513 and uses Reflect/Light Screen, causing the game to freeze indefinitely. Additionally, it the defender's Defense/Special stat is 514 or higher with Reflect/Light Screen, it's stat will be treated as if it was way lower than what it is.

Dual Type Damage Glitch: When a Pokemon has dual typing with both a weakness and a resistence to a type, the damage should to be neutral. However, with this glitch, the damage is based on the priority in the coding, causing the attack to be either Super Effective or Not Very Effective.

Exp. All Glitch: In this glitch, if a player has an Exp. All in their bag but uses more than two or more Pokemon in battle, then the total gained experience will decrease depending on the number of Pokemon used.

Experience PC Withdraw Glitch: With this glitch, if you place a Level 1 Pokemon in the PC with a Medium-Slow Growth Rate, the game will freeze. However, it isn't possible to have a legitmate Pokemon with this rate at this Level. The same will happen if you place a Level 255 Pokemon with Medium-Fast Growth, Level 255 for Fast Growth, and Level 237 for Slow Growth.

Experience Overflow Glitch: If a Level 1 Pokemon with a Medium-Slow Growth Rate - again not legitmately possible - and gains a low amount of experience points in a battle, they will automatically jump from Level 1 to Level 100.

Gate Access Glitch: After passing Cycling Road, some gate guards will still prevent you from going through if you have your Bike deposited in the PC.

Ghost Identity Glitch: If a player should look at a Poekmon states when battling an unidentified ghost in Pokemon Tower without the Silph Scope, the Pokemon Identity will be revealed in their Sprite. However, the "Ghost" still can't be fought or captured.

Ghost Marowak Glitch: If a player uses a Poke Doll when facing the Ghost Marowak in Pokemon Tower without a Silph Scope, the Marowak will depart from the tower and the player can continue on.

Glitch City Glitch: To access Glitch City, a player must enter then Safari Zone Game. Immediately after entering, the player must leave but say no when the attendent asks if they are done. The player must reenter, and then save and reset the game. The player must then exit again, and say no once again. You must then fly anywhere. After taking the 500 step count, the player will be warped back to the Safari Gate. Once they leave, the player will enter Glitch City. However, a player can't enter Glitch City if the player runs out of steps inside of any of the major cities or towns or is inside a building. There is also no way to leave Glitch City without the move Teleport or Fly.

Hall of Fame Glitch: If a Glitch Pokemon has been seen on the saved game file, the player's Hall of Fame entry will show corrupt data pictures and levels of their team.

Haze Glitch: If Haze is used to defrost a Pokemon when it still needs to recharge from a Hyper Beam, the Pokemon will thaw but will be unable to attack until it faints.

HP Recovery Glitch: When a Pokemon uses a recovery move and the difference bewteen its current and maximum HP is either the number 255 or 511, the move will automatically fail.

Hyper Beam + Sleep Glitch: If a Pokemon has just used Hyper Beam and has yet to recharge is hit with a sleep inducing move, any status condition the Pokemon had will be ignored. The sleep inducing move will also never miss.

M (00) Glitch: If a player somehow captures 'M(00), an invisible Ditto will still be in battle with the player. It can even be caught too.

Invisible Professor Glitch: If a player should try to leave too many times when choosing their Stater Pokemon, the Professor and middle starter PokeBall will vanish. Furthermore, pressing the Start Button will make a glitched text box appear, but exiting the menu will bring everything back to normal.

Invulnerability Glitch: If a Pokemon should become fully paralysed or hurt in confusion when in the air with Fly or underground with Dig, all moves besides Swift, Transform, and Bide from the opponent will miss until the Pokemon is switched out, the battles finishes, of performs another charging move.

Item Duplication Glitch: With this glitch, items are able to be duplicated in the players bag.

Item Underflow Glitch: It is a subglitch of the Item Duplication Glitch, and allows a player to and write RAM where items are stored in the memory of the game.

Landing On Top Glitch: If a player can bring a non-playable character below a ledge that can be jump, it's possible for the player to land on top of the character if they jump over the ledge.

Level-Up Moveset Glitch: In this glitch, if a Pokemon learns enough Experience in a battle and levels up twice but skips the level it would learn a new move, the Pokemon cannot learn the move.

Level Up Level 100 Glitch: If a Pokemon is obtained at Level 100, it can be leveled up with rare candies until Level 255. If another rare candy is given to it at Level 255, the Level will be reset to zero.

Menu Glitch: If a player holds the A Button while they are trying to save a game, the menu was go away until the A Button is released.

Mew Glitch: Here it is, the greatest glitch of the First generation that allows Mew to be obtainable using the Trainer-Fly Glitch. There are two methods to activated the Mew Glitch:

Slow Mew Glitch - This method is the longer of the two, thus its given name. It begins by NOT battling the Gambler on Route 8 or the Youngster on Route 25, and coming back to the Gambler once they have and can use the move Fly. The player must stand directly beneath the Underground Path entrance, which will have the Gambler be on tile offscreen and looking in the opposite direction (save the game just in case). Take one step down and then press and hold the Start Button while the step happens. The Gambler will see your player, but if you use the move Fly to Cerulean City, you will fly before he can activate a battle. Once in Cerulean City, all the Buttons will no longer function. Head north and battle the Youngster on Route 25 (all other trainers should already be defeated by this time). The Youngster must walk up to the player, and the glitch won't happen if he doesn't. After defeated the Youngster, head back to Route 8 by flying to Lavender Town and heading to the right. The start menu will appear on the screen as you enter the route, close it and you will go into battle with mew.

Quick Mew Glitch - This works just like the above method, but is done much earlier in the game. The Jr. Trainer on Route 24 to the right on Nuggest Bridge takes the place of the gambler and Swimmer in the Cerulean Gym takes the place on the Youngster. Since Fly is not available, you must catch an Abra and use Teleport instead when the Jr. Trainer spots you on Route 24. After defeating the swimmer, head back to Route 24 and the menua will appear. Close it, and you will go into battle with Mew.

Mirror Move Glitch: If Mirror Move and a trapping move such as Wrap of Fire Spin are used together in a Linked Battle, a desync will occur between the two game systems.

Pallet Town Glitch: If the player stands outside Oak's Lab long enough, the non-playable character outside it will eventually stand on top of the door.

Perpertual Spinning Glitch: This glitch causes your character to perpetually spin. It can be done by saving the game after entering the Safari Zone and then leaving. When you go to the desk, you will have to pay to leave the Safri Zone because the game thinks you are just entering. Once you leave into Fushcia City, Fly to Viridian City and go into the Gym. If your step count of five hundred ends when the player is spinning on the tiles in the gym, the animation will continue to show the player spinning.

Pokemon Merging Glitch: This glitch is activated by placing a glitch Pokemon with the Index Number 0xFF in the Storage System in a certain order. It will cause the Pokemon Moves and Stats to be transferred, and created an unstable Pokemon.

Pokemon Storage System Glitch: You can place all your healthy Pokemon in your PC and carry around only fainted Pokemon. The player will Blackout after four steps in Red and Blue, but only after one step in Yellow.

Progress Glitch: If a player has at least two Pokemon Registered as cuaght before receiving the Pokedex from Oak, the game will not allow the player to proceed in the game because it thinks they already have the Pokedex. This Glitch was fixed on the internationl Red and Blue Games, but remains on all the other copies and languages.

Psywave Glitch: If a player uses Psywave in a link battle, there is a possiblity the games will desync.

Psywave Loop Glitch: If a Level 0, 1, or 171 Pokemon uses Psywave, an infinite loop will be created. However, only glitch Pokemon can be caught at these levels and activate this glitch.

Rematch Glitch: This glitch allows a trainer to be battle an unlimited amount of times in a cave. To perform the glitch, you must go into battle with a Wild Pokemon at the same time the trainer spots you. Lose the battle to the Wild Pokemon in the cave, and you can challenge the Trainer as many times as you'd like.

Rhydon Glitch: This glitch affects Glitch Pokemon with an invalid Pokedex Number. After the Pokedex entry is displayed, an affected Pokemon will become a Rhydon and its moves will be changed to such. if the Pokemon is sent to Bill's PC, it will become an unstabled Poekmon.

Save Corruption Glitch: If you have no Save File and if you save the game but turn off the power just after the Yes/No Box leaves, you will have 255 Poekmon in the Party the next time you load your game. If the game is turned off at the wrong time, the file will be corrupted.

Easy Game Defeat Glitch: This glitch allows for a player to quickly defeat the game by using the ability to toss items to warp to destinations. If you toss 138 of Item 36, you will be warped to the Hall of Fame.

Save Reset Glitch: With this glitch, the player will always receive a message stating they can't get off their bike, even when trying to use their bike when off it. It has to do with their saved game.

Silent Win Glitch: If the player evolves a Pokemon and defeats their Rival as the Champion, the music will be muted until Professor Oak arrives.

Sprite Corruption Glitch: This glitch causes sprites to become distorted. It can be done by healing Pokemon in Pokemon Center in a Glitched Area, by going to Glitch City, or by catching a glitch Pokemon.

Stat Glitch: Each time a Pokemon uses a move that lowers or raises a stat of any of the two Pokemon in battle, state modifications will being to take place with the Pokemon and when under status conditions.

Statue Glitch: This glitch is performed by walking onto a Water Tile in the same direction it is going, and pressing the start button without letting go of the control pad. Save and reset the game, use surf and the player will surf on the tile below even if it you can't on that tile.

Statue Fishing Glitch: The player can use the fishing rod or surf when facing the right or left of a gym statue.

Struggle Glitch: This glitch allows struggling to be avoided by allowing the game to select a move after being defrosted or using Bind, Clamp, Fire Spin, Hyper Beam, Metronome, Mimic, or Wrap.

Substitute HP Glitch: In the international Red, Blue, and Yellow Games, draining moves will actually hit a substitute.

Substitute Sprite Glitch: When Explosion is used and breaks a substitute, it prevents the user from fainting and the sprite of the user vanishes.

Substitute + Confusion Glitch: If both Pokemon in battle have a substitute, and one of the Pokemon hurts itself in confusion, the other Pokemon will take the damage of the confusion instead.

Super Glitch: This glitch refers to a number of extreme glitch moves that exist in the coding slots of A6 and C3 in Pokemon Red and Blue. The effects of the -- Move Glitch can also cause the Super Glitch to occurs.

SS Anne Glitch: This glitch allows a player to reboard the SS Anne.Simply stand one tile above and to the left of the sailor guarding the harbor when the ship leaves. Face right in this exact spot and use surf, surfing on top of the sailor. Move down and the boat can be reentered.

Leech Seed Toxic Glitch: If a target is under the effects of both Leech Seed and Toxic, Leech Seed will continue to growing damage like toxic.

Rest Toxic Glitch: If a poisoned Pokemon uses rest and is then burned, poisoned, or Leech Seeded, the status condition with gain in damage after every move as if the Pokemon was still poisoned.

Trade Cloning Glitch: This glitch clones Pokemon when the trading process is broken.

Sleep Glitch: To activate this glitch, a player must use healing items every turn when trapped by a trapping move in battle. If the opposing Pokemon then put the player's Pokemon to sleep, it won't be able to move until the sleep is cured by an item.

Vending Machine Glitch: If you only have $200 Poke Dollars, the vending Machine's on top of the Celadon City Store will allow you to buy any of the drinks.

Victory Road Bicycle Music Glitch: If a player falls through a hole in Victory Road when riding their bike, they will be thrown off their bike but the music will continue to play.

Walking Through Non-Playable Character Glitch: If you can lure a non-playable character onto the path Oak brings you to the lab for the first time, you will walk right through them.

Walk Through Walls Glitch: To activate this glitch, a player must first get poisoned and deposit all healthy Pokemon in the PC. You must then go to Safari Zone and pay to play, and then try to left but say no when asked if they are finished. Next, save the game and reset the system. From there, walk back into the Safri Zone Building and walk downward. When asked if they want to play, say no to the attendant. Make sure to be on a top of a ledge at step count 499, and then jump off the ledge to make the time expire midair. Walk around on screen after this until your Pokemon finally faints. After this, you will be teleported to the last Pokemon Center, and you can walk through walls.

ZZAZZ Glitch: This data corrupting glitch can be activated by using the Ditto Glitch with a Special Stat of 251, 252, 254, or 255. This triggers the player to encounter a glitch trainer, which consequently causes this glitch to happen.
