Pokemon HeartGold Kanto Gym Leaders

Within Pokemon HeartGold there are a total of Sixteen Gyms (Eight Johto Gyms and Eight Kanto Gyms). You must defeat the Eight Johto Gyms in order to face the Pokemon League. After you defeat the Pokemon League, you can then explore the Kanto Region and battle the Kanto Gyms. Unlike the Johto Gyms, you can battle the Kanto Gyms in any order (The Viridian City Gym must be challenged last).


Here are the eight Kanto Gyms:


Pewter City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Pewter City Gym sixth among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Brock, a Rock-Type Pokemon User.

Brock - Level 51 Graveler, Level 51 Rhyhorn, Level 53 Omastar, Level 54 Onix, and Level 52 Kabutops

If you win, you'll receive the Boulder Badge and TM80 (Rock Slide).


Cerulean City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Cerulean City Gym either third or fourth among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Misty, a Water-Type Pokemon User.

Misty - Level 49 Quagsire, Level 49 Golduck, Level 52 Lapras, and Level 54 Starmie

If you win, you'll receive the Cascade Badge and TM03 (Water Pulse).


Vermillion City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Vermillion City Gym first among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leaer is Lt. Surge, an Electric-Type Pokemon User.

Lt. Surge - Level 47 Electrode, Level 47 Magneton, Level 47 Electrode, Level 51 Raichu, and Level 53 Electabuzz

If you win, you'll receive the Thunder Badge and TM34 (Shock Wave).


Celadon City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Celadon City Gym either third or fourth among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Erika, a Grass-Type Pokemon User.

Erika - Level 51 Jumpluff, Level 52 Tangela, Level 56 Bellossom, and Level 56 Victreebel

If you win, you'll receive the Rainbow Badge and TM19 (Giga Drain).


Fushia City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Fushia City Gym fifth among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Janine, a Poison-Type Pokemon User.

Janine - Level 44 Weezing, Level 47 Ariados, Level 47 Crobat, Level 47 Ariados, and Level 50 Venomoth

If you win, you'll receive the Soul Badge and TM84 (Poison Jab).


Saffron City Gym:

You will probably challenge the Saffron City Gym second among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Sabrina, a Psychic-Type Pokemon User.

Sabrina - Level 53 Espeon, Level 53 Mr. Mime, and Level 55 Alakazam

If you win, you'll receive the Marsh Badge and TM48 (Skill Swap).


Seafoam Island (Former Cinnabar Island) Gym:

You will probably challenge the Seafoam Island Gym seventh among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Blaine, a Fire-Type Pokemon User.

Blaine - Level 54 Magcargo, Level 54 Magmar, and Level 59 Rapidash

If you win, you'll receive the Volcano Badge and TM50 (Overheat).


Viridian City Gym:

You will challenge the Viridian City Gym eighth among the Kanto Gyms. The Gym Leader is Blue, who uses a variety of Pokemon.

Blue - Level 52 Gyarados, Level 55 Exeggutor, Level 56 Machamp, Level 58 Rhydon, Level 58 Arcanine, and Level 60 Pidgeot

If you win, you'll receive the Earth Badge and TM92 (Trick Room).
