Last Updated:

Pokemon FireRed was released alongside Pokemon LeafGreen for the Gameboy Advance in 2004 (January 29th-Japan, September 9th-US, October 1st-Europe). Both games serve as remakes to the original 1st Generation Pokemon Games of Pokemon Red & Pokemon Blue, being the second set of game released during the 3rd Generation of Pokemon (coming roughly two years after Pokemon Ruby & Pokemon Sapphire and about six months prior to Pokemon Emerald.

Pokemon FireRed follows closely to the script of the original 1st Generation Games, having basically no differences whatsoever until late in the Main Story (and the entire Post Game Story as a whole). Players will continue to travel through the Kanto Region as they attempt to capture every Pokemon found within the Kanto Pokedex and obtain all eight Kanto Gym Badges of their way to facing Pokemon in order to become the next Kanto Region Champion. During their adventure, players will have to constantly battle the iconic Rival Character (commonly known these days as Blue) from the original 1st Generation games while also thwarting the efforts of the evil antagonist group known as Team Rocket.

Pokemon FireRed also includes a number of additions from the 1st Generation Pokemon Games it is based. For one, after completing the Main Story, players can obtain the National Pokedex that includes the first three Generations of Pokemon if they meet Professor Oak's requirement. With the National Pokedex, players will be able to complete the newly added Post Game Story that takes place is the brand new area of the Kanto Region known as the Sevii Islands. In these special locations, players will learn what happened to Team Rocket after Giovanni left the group.

Unlike other Gaming Websites that have covered Pokemon FireRed, we will be creating an extensive Guide that will cover every since aspect of the game, as well as building the most interactive Walkthrough that will detail every single thing that will occur during both the Main Story and Post Game Story so players know exactly what to expect! In order not to miss any updates along the way, make sure to subscribe to receive alerts when new pages are posted!
