Introduction

This is possibly the best Pokemon game in 2007, in this review I will take you in depth and get right into this game mentioning it's all new graphics, features sounds and gameplay options so strap yourself in, get a coke and have a good read of one of CSS' reviews!

Graphics

A splash of difference this time with a Pokemon game this time round it contains detailed graphics much like the ones on new super mario bros. Instead of the boring 2d graphics like R/S/E they have gone to a different extent rendered the sprites to create a 3d effect. When you reach the frst gym in the game you get a slight surprise, because it almost looks as is it it first person view! The stairs are great too, (you may not care much for stairs) but if you take a closer inspection as you are going up you will see that your character will look as if they are giong up unlike the poorly produced sprite stairs wich you just walk over in R/S/E Note that I am talking about the stars in the field not the ones in your house.

Sound

Still, very original sounds I would have given the game a 7 or 8 but since they have slightly revamped and modifed the songs during the game I give it a 9, the sounds in gameplay are still like the ones in R/S/E so nothing too important to state here. Exept that there are some new music for different routes.

Gameplay

A whole new door has been opened for the die-hard Pokemon fans with over 150 new Pokemon to catch and a new reigon called sinnoh, it's a great all new experience for the Pokemon fan and even first time players! As usual at the start of the game you are asked specific questions ie. Gender, Name, and Rivals Name also as per usual you start off in a sleepy town called Twinleaf, where you eventually progress, and get your starter Pokemon and pokedex. As like all the other games you run around training up Pokemon, breeding Pokemon and getting gym badges. Your enemys name is the evil Team Galactic, claming they are doing what they are doing for the betterment of mandkind so you have to stop them, get all 8 gym badges, catch all the Pokemon, beat the Pokemon leauge and catch even more Pokemon when you abtain the national pokedex, there is an all new feature that really got me exited, you can transfer, listen to me when I say this, you can transfer Pokemon from your GBA cartridge and put them on diamond! The contests have been revamped and have really taken advantage of the DS' Touch screen feature. There is the usual Move or "Acting" contest as there was in R/S/E BUT they have added a dress up contsest and a dance contest within it! Also do I hear that magic word... Wi-Fi!!! Yes! This game DOES have Wi-Fi! You can trade, battle, even chat with people all around the world!

Lastability

As with any other Pokemon game, you DO get bored of it eventually, but you can't start a new game!!! I mean you CAN but whats going to happen to all your beloved Kanto and Hoenn pokemon? Poof! Because you can't give them back to your GBA game cartridge! So unless you have pearl and alot of time on your hands to trade back and forth I reccomend not to start a newie.

Overall

Great, lovable game but you get very tired of it when you have done everything. But never the less, this game is a very inmportant building block in the Pokemon franchise and I think that it can go a long way. So what are you waiting for! Nag your mum and Buy it!
