Tales of Xillia was made by Tales Studio and published by Bandai Namco. I'd
like to apologize for any grammatical errors you may find in this guide.
English is not my mother language.
To use this Guide properly, set your "Character Encoding" Browser to
"Japanese (Shift_JIS)".
The content of this FAQ is kinda spoiler-ish, do not use this if you didn't
want to get spoiled.

-After event you'll be introduced to the game field control, confirm
to proceed.
-Go east [NS].
-Exit the place to northeast [NS].
-Enter the building at northwest.
-After the event go northwest [NS].
-Enter the one and only room there.
-After event exit the building.

-Check up the shiny object at the middle of the room (this is a Search
Point, you'll find a lot of these in the future, don't forget to pick
them up), Open up Treasure chest at northwest for a "Mantle". Continue
southwest [NS].
-Go north a little and you'll fight your first battle.
-In battle pick 1st choice to get throught the Tutorial or pick 2nd
choice to skip them. The Tutorial will teaches you about the fundaments
of battle.
-After the battle check the white bag you see before (this are random
treasure, you'll also find a lot of these in the future especially in
dungeons, don't forget to pick them up). Proceed west [NS].
-Get near the guard to the west. The Tutorial will teaches you about
Jude's special Backstep system (if you perform Backstep at the right
time at incoming attack) which lets Jude to teleport to the back of the
enemy. After the battle climbs up.
-Go southeast, open the chest for 2 "Orange Gummi". Check up any
Search Points you can find. Ascend the stairs to the west, open up
the chest for 3 "Apple Gummi". Save your game, ascend the stairs,
open the chest for a "Life Bottle". Enter the room where you saw a
girl. Inside the room you'll enter a battle.

|Tips: The first battle is kinda hard to win so don't bother. The |
|2nd battle will be easier because Milla will assist you. Milla is |
|so strong because she has Great Spirit with her, use them. |

-After the battle and event Milla joins your party. Exit the room.
-Now check the left room, you should be able to open it using the Key
you just obtained, climb up then open the chest for a "Cammomile". Exit
the room.
-Descend the stairs, save your game, descend again, check the door
to the northwest, enter.
-Go southwest, open the chest for "400 Gald", ascend the stairs
all the way to 2F then go northeast, open the right chest
for an "Orange Gummi", open the left chest for 2 "Apple Gummi".
Enter the room to the south, inside climb up, open th chest for
"500 Gald". Exit the room, descend the stairs to 1F, check the
door to the east.

-After the event, go upstairs for another event and an easy
battle.
-After the battle save your game, go north [NS].

will be your introduction about Side Quest.

you about Linking system as well as Link Arts.

-Go southeast to trigger an event battle. The Tutorial will teaches you
about Overlimit (OVL).
-Go back to Elart Port.

| Go back to the place where you fight the event battle for the Side Quest |
| tutorial at Elart Road. After you defeat the monsters go back to Elart |
| Port talk to her again. You'll be rewarded by "1.200 Gald" and a |
| "Dagger's Belt" (Attachment). Event Complete. |

|6a. Talk to the merchant to the left of the Inn, pick 1st choice, he'll ask |
| for a "Parange/�p�����W" fruit. You can't obtain this yet so continue |

-Get near the tree with fruits for an event. This event will tell you
that there's Aifread Treasure being spread all over the world. You can
find them only in Dungeons and Fields so keep an eye on them. You'll
also get your first "Dark Orb" (Key Item for later Sub Event).
-Enter the house next to the inn, check the drawer for a "Napple" (Key
Item for a Sub Event later). Check another drawer for 3 Eggs (Material).
Exit house.
-Enter the Inn again, talk to the lady, confirm.
-After event go west [NS].
-Get near the guard. After event west [NS].

*Aifread Treasure: Go south, just before you go west search around a big
rock there, check it to obtain 2.000 Gald.

-After event you can go shopping at the Merchant on the right.
-Go west, open the chest for a "Meat Sauce Noodle" (Food).
-Go south, climbs up, follow the narrow road. When you reach a drop point
to the west don't drop down yet, instead climb up to south, follow the
narrow road, open the chest for a "Jasmine". Drop down to your right,
open the chest nearby for "700 Gald". Continue west [NS].
-Go through the small passage you can see ahead, look to your right,
there's an Aifread treasure, check it to obtain "Baul" Attachment.
Go west and open the chest there for a "Bronze Helm", go back.
-Go south through small passage, open the chest for a "Mix Gummi", go back
again.
-Climb up to west. Go down to the west and open the chest there for
a "Heal Bangle" (Accessory). Drop down to south.
-Go north and open the chest in a very small cave for 6 "Black Feather".
-Go west, save your game, proceed west [NS].
-After event prepare for a battle.
-In battle if you pick 1st choice the tutorial will teaches you about
Chain Link Arts while in OVL.

"Protect Mark" (Accessory), go back up.
-Go west. After event go northeast, open the chest for 3 "Apple Gummi".
-Go west [NS].

-While event, looks around carefully because you'll need to obtain
those elemental rocks later.
-After event save your game.
-From where you are go north towards another Save Point but go east crossing
the bridge, check the small shrine there for a "Wind Rock" (Key Item). Go
Go east towards the entrance, check the small shrine there for an "Earth
Rock". Go to the bridge at the south, look to the south and you can see
that you can drop down, goes toward the small shrine, check up the shrine
for a "Water Rock". Climb up, go west a little and you'll find another
shrine, check it for a "Fire Rock".
-Enter the house on the east, check the urn in front of an NPC for a
"Sandwich" (Food). Exit.
-Enter the house on the northeast, check the drawers to the south for a
"Dark Orb" (Key Item). Exit.
-Enter the house on the west (middle), check the urn for an "Apple Gummi".
Exit.
-Enter the house on the leftmost west, check the urn for "500 Gald". Exit.

|7. Go to the east entrance of the village, talk to the boy standing before |
| the entrance, pick 1st choice and he'll ask for a "Napple/�i�b�v��". You |
| should've obtained it when you're in Ha Miel before. Talk to the boy |
| again. You'll be rewarded by a "Snot" (Attachment). Event complete. |

|8. Near the boy for the 7th Sub Event go talk to the old man. Event complete.|
| |
|9. Talk to the girl just beside the Wind shrine, she'll as for an "Empty |
| Shell/�����k" (Material). You can find this Material from random treasures|
| in "Road to Neu Ackelia". After you obtained the asked Material talk to |
| her again. You'll be rewarded by "1.800 Gald" and "Ahoge" (Attachment). |

|10. Talk to the old man near the west entrance, pick 1st choice, he'll ask |
| you to help him exterminate a group of monsters in "Road to Neu Ackelia".|
| After exterminating the monster go talk to him again. You'll be rewarded |
| by "1.800 Gald" and "Elven Ears" (Attachment). Event complete. |

-Exit the village using the west entrance.
*You can also exit the village using northwest entrance. It'll lead you to
"Sogd Wetlands", the enemies here are very strong but you can Level up here
faster. The materials you can get from here are also better than you can
find up until now.

*Treasure Chests in this area: Panacea Bottle, 800 Gald, 5 Black Feathers.
*Aifread Treasure: Head south, climb up, search the big rock at that area,
check it to obtain Frameless Glass (Attachment).
-If the 9th Sub Event is active you can find the "White Shell" from one
of the random treasures in her. If the 10th Sub Event is active, you can
find the group of monsters at the south area, near Aifread Treasure.
-Go west [NS].
*Treasure Chests in this area: Noodles (Food), Lesser Mantle (Accessory),
Sage.
*Aifread Treasure: Check the area in the middle, to north you can find
it hanging on a rock, check to to obtain a Dark Orb (Key Item).
-Go west [NS].

-After event climb the vines in front of you. Open the chest for a "Cider

if you haven't completed it.
-Head south [NS].

------------------------------------
-After event go west and you can see that there's a narrow passage, press
confirm button in front of it to enter. Use the left stick to move your
character and right stick to move the camera. There will be more narrow
(secret) passage in the future especially in the field so keep an eye on
them (they usually leads to treasure chests).
-Proceed until an event.
-The event battle will introduce Elise.
-After battle and event Elise joins your party. Don't forget to check her
Lilialle Orb.
-Climb up the leaves in front of you, at a split road head south, then go
through the narrow passage, go west open the chest for "1.500 Gald",
go west [NS].
-Open the chest for 6 "Black Feather". Note: There will be a group of
monsters here if the 19th Sub Event is active, defeat them. Go back to
the split road.
-At split road head west, follow the road (drop down), open the chest
for 2 "Orange Gummi". Go throught narrow passage to the west, open
the chest for a "Poison Charm" (Accessory). Head west [NS].
-Drop down and you'll see an event about poison mushroom trap, be careful
to not step on them from now.
-Head west, go through the small passage, follow the road by climbing
up until you find a chest, open it for a "Mabo Curry" (Food). Climb the
leaves to the west, there's an Aifread treasure to the right branch of the
trees, check it to obtain "Black Rabbit's Ears" (Attachment). Go down
to where the chest is, go down again (be careful of the mushrooms).
-Head south, go through the passage, looks north, you can see that you can
climb on the leaves there but don't do that yet instead, continue
southeast [NS].
-Go south, climb up, open the chest for 2 "Orange Gummi". Continue east
through the narrow passage, open the chest for a "Verbena". Head south,
climb the leaves to enter a secret area, open the chest for a "Hard Coat",
open another chest for 2 "Apple Gummi". Go back northwest [NS].
-Go to the place where you can climb the leaves, climb up. open the chest
to the right for 6 "Mysterious Fluid" (Material). Go southwest [NS].
-Open the chest for 9 "Solid Ivy" (Material). Go north, open the chest
for a "Holy Bottle". Continue south [NS].
-Follow the road, open the chest for a "Holy Bottle", save your game,
head west [NS].
-After event prepare for a battle.

-After event and battle you'll be outside the forest, you can't re-enter the
forest. Come back later to get the Aifread treasure.

*Aifread Treasure: None.
-Head north, climb the leaves (don't forget to open the chest there), go
north [NS].
*Treasure Chests in this area: 1.500 Gald, Elixir (hidden), Orange Gummi
(hidden), Basil (hidden), Fight Mark (hidden), 5 Black Feathers.
*Aifread Treasure: Go northwest until you meet a dead end, climb up, the
treasure is stuck on a tree, check it to obtain a "Dark Orb".
-There are 4 hidden passages here which leads you to treasure chests, search
carefully.
-The purpose of coming here is actually to collect the treasures and to
obtain Aifread treasure. After you done go back south [NS].
-Go west [NS].

| Samahn-gan Port, talk to the Guard. You'll be rewarded by "2.600 Gald" |
| and "Classic Sunglasses" (Attachment). Event complete. |

|20. Talk to a guy standing across the plaza, pick 1st choice, he's a member |
| of Shikkoku no Tsubasa (Black Wings). Remembers the Black Feathers |
| you've found on your journey? He'll be asking you to give them to him |
| but of course you'll get rewards in return. Below is the reward you'll |
| get after you give him certain amounts of Black Feathers: |
| |
| 100 = Arts Ball (Key Item) & 10.000 Gald. |
| 200 = "Hat" Hairstyle (Personal) for everyone & 20.000 Gald. |
| 300 = Blue Sephira (Accessory) & 30.000 Gald. |
| 400 = Mila's "Lady" costume, Alvin's "Casual" costume & 40.000 Gald. |
| 459 = Succeed (Accessory) & 50.000 Gald. |
| 1.000 = 300 Grade Points. |
| |
| Talk to him again, pick 1st choice to exchange your "Points" for Items. |
| The Points you get is based on how much you gave him the Black Feathers,|
| so if you gave him 50 Black Feathers it means you've 50 points. If you |
| are aiming to get the "1.000 Black Feathers title" and afraid of |
| spending them will reduce the Black Feathers you gave to him, don't |
| worry, exchanging points won't reduce the amounts of Black Feathers |
| you've given to him. So, just exchange them whenever you feels like it. |

| you'll find the monsters. Win the battle, go back to Carlha Sharl, talk |
| to the guy. You'll be rewarded by "3.000 Gald" and "Sad Glasses" |
| (Attachment). Event complete. |
