Moto Skills =================== Moto Skills will teach how to perform various actions that you will be doing during the MotoCareer. Moto Skills can be accessed at any time by Triangle at the Main Manu and you can redo any of the Skills you have completed whenever you like Moto Skill 1: Rider Reflex Learn how to controls your rider independent of your MX bike or ATV. This Skill will teach you about Rider Reflex. You will have to drive across the MX Compound to the marker and use Rider Reflex along the way. You must move the right analog stick up, down, left, and right before reaching the other side. Don't go too fast because you don't have much room to work with. Once you do all 4, the session will end. The session will also end if you make it to the other side without doing all 4 directions Moto Skill 2: Hold Tight Discover how Rider Reflex provides greater control over rough terrain. This Skill will show how shifting your rider's position can help you maintain speed. You will have to go from one side of the Compound to the other while going through a whoop section. A whoop section is a section with repetitive little bumps. To complete this skill, you need to pull down on the right analog stick and drive to the marker Moto Skill 3: Lean Into It Learn how to use Rider Reflex master cornering techniques. This skill will show you how to use Rider Reflex to make your turns sharper. This skill consists of two parts. During the first part, you will go around the turn without using Rider Reflex. For the second part, You will use Rider Reflex to make the turn sharper. After completing this Skill, you will receive a Trophy or Achievement Moto Skill 4: Take-Offs and Landings Use Rider Reflex to achieve massive air and critical landings. This Skill will teach you how to use Rider Reflex to help you clear big jumps. As you approach the ramp, pull down on the right analog stick to get more air and fly farther. You will have three attempts to use Rider Reflex to jump and then land cleanly. You only need two clean landings to advance Moto Skill 5: Wreck Avoidance Learn how to stay in the race while avoiding painful wrecks. This skill will teach you how to stay on your ride in the event where you don't land a jump cleanly. You will launch off of the ramp in front of you. You won't be able to land cleanly on purpose, so you will need to use Wreck Avoidance. When you land watch your rider's behavior. A yellow arrow will appear on the screen. Move the right analog stick in the indicated direction to advance. After a while, you will be able to know which direction to move the right analog stick to save your rider Moto Skill 6: Freestyle Tricks Learn how to pull off insane tricks. This Skill will teach you how to perform tricks. To perform any trick, you must hold the L1 button. Then you will move the right analog stick in a three-direction combination. If the directions are adjacent (ex. Left and Up), you can roll the right analog stick from direction to direction. To complete this Skill you will have to pull off three tricks. You will do them one at a time and they will tell you which trick as well as give you the direction combination. The tricks are as follows: Shaolin (Up/Down/Up), Supercan (Down/Left/Up), Deadbody (Left/Down/Up). Complete this Skill to receive a Trophy or Achievement ============== MVAR1C. Tricks ============== Tricks can only be done of MX Lite Bikes, MX Bikes, and ATVs. Tricks are divided into 4 Tiers. Tier 1 tricks are basic and don't take long to pull off. Tier 4 tricks are complex and take longer to pull off. To pull off any trick, hold the Trick Modifier button (L1 button) and then move the right analog stick in the three directions needed to pull off the trick. If the directions are adjacent, you can roll the right analog stick. To hold tricks, hold the right analog stick in last direction needed to pull off the trick. There are also tricks that don't require a three-button combination to do. You can pull off a backflip by holding L1 and moving the right analog stick down and then holding it there for the duration of the move. You can also pull off a 360 by holding L1 and then moving the right analog stick right or left and then down. After each move will be the three-button combination needed to pull off the trick. Sometimes, the game will consider the right analog stick resetting to the center as a direction so you may end up pulling off more moves than you wanted to. You still need to hold L1 before inputting the direction combo. To preview a trick, select the trick from the Trick Library and it will show a clip of how the trick is performed Trick Name-Button 1/Button 2/Button 3 ------------------------------------- No Hander-Up/Right/Up Heelclicker-Up/Left/Up Windmill-Up/Right/Down Rodeo-Up/Down/Right Taunt-Up/Left/Down Barhop-Up/Down/Left Shaolin-Up/Down/UP Superman-up/Left/Right Double Grab-Up/right/Left Lazyboy-Down/Right/Down Upcan-Down/Left/Down Switchblade-Down/Right/Up Superman Seat Grab-Down/Up/Right Supercan-Down/Left/Up Indian Air-Down/Up/Down Nac Nac-Down/Left/Right Ninja Nac-Down/Right/Left Body Flip-Down/Up/Left 9 O'clock Indian Air-Left/Up/Left 9 O'clock Nac-Left/Down/Left Cordova-Left/Down/Right Heart Attack-Left/Right/Down Flatliner-Left/Right/Up Kiss of Death-Left/Right/Left Ruler-Left/Up/Down Deadbody-Left/Down/Up Body Varial-Right/Up/Right Tsunami-Right/Down/Right Solo Cliffhanger-Right/Left/Right Rigor Mortis-Right/Up/Left Rock Solid-Right/Down/Left Twister-Right/Down/Up Fullpress-Right/Up/Down Buzzsaw-Right/Left/Down Bizzare-Right/Left/Up Kiss of Death Indian Air-Left/Up/Right ============= MVAR2. Garage ============= There are seven vehicles classes available. There are MX and MX Lite Bikes, ATVs, UTVs, Sport Buggies, Sport Trucks, and Sport 2 Trucks. Originally, only MX Lite Bikes will be available for purchase. As you work your way through the MotoCareer, more classes will become available. You can also tune your vehicles. While in the garage looking at a vehicle that you own, hit Start. From there, you can change the stats in each category to fit your liking. Customizable stats will be lighter blue in color compared to fixed stats. On MX Lite Bikes, MX Bikes, and ATVs, the only stats that can be modified are braking and steering. On the stats for UTVs, Sport Buggies, Sport Trucks and Sport 2 Trucks, fixed stats will be listed first. The adjustable amount will be listed in parenthesis. When adjusting the stats, the listed stats will act in opposite directions. Acceleration and Speed, Soft and Hard Suspension, and Slippery and Sticky Tires will act opposite of each other, meaning when you add to one stat, the other will have one subtracted from it. For the most part, each of them will be the same amount for each. If you enter the code 'READYTORACE', you will unlock all KTM vehicles and Justin Brayton to use in Arcade mode. The vehicles can be used in the MotoCareer as well. Acceleration-Provides your ride with increased torque and high-RPM acceleration from a dead stop. Its emphasis is best suited for low-speed racing on steep or bumpy terrain Top Speed-Keeps your ride's RPMs low and is ideal for fast, flat terrain where you want to maintain high speed Soft Suspension-A gentler ride when landing jumps or riding at low speeds on rough terrain Hard Suspension-Provides a firm ride that aids in both turning and braking at high speed Slippery Tires-Increases the air pressure and works best when riding at high speeds on flat or firm terrain, such as hard-packed dirt Sticky Tires-Lowers the tire's air pressure, which provides better traction at lower speed while on bumpy terrain Braking-Tuning your ride for Soft Braking results in a slight delay in braking. Choosing Hard provides immediate stopping power from your brakes Steering-Adjusting your steering toward Slow results in a slight delay when steering the vehicle, while steering tuned for Quick provide a lightning-fast steering response ===================== MVAR2A. MotoCareer ================= MotoCareer pits you against the best in the sport. As you progress through the MotoCareer, you will unlock new vehicle classes, gear, and get invited to more difficult events. You can access your MotoCard and Garage from MotoCareer by pressing the Square button. In the career, you will compete in Series than will introduce you to all forms of racing. Each Series has three ranks, and the higher the rank, the more difficult the tracks and opponents become. Before beginning each Series, you will be told what you will unlock by winning, like vehicle classes and other Series to compete in. There are only two Series available from the beginning. After choosing which Series you wish to compete in, you will then be able to choose which event you would like to compete in. Each event will have certain vehicle restrictions and event formats. To win the Trophy or Achievement for each Series, you need to place in the Top 3 for each of the Exhibition events. For Supercross and National Series 3, you need to win all Heats and Motos, respectively. To unlock Series, whenever it says, "You need to win Series A to ...", you need to place in the Top 3 for each Exhibition event in the Series. For National Series 3 and Supercross Series 3, you need to place in the Top 3 of each Moto and Heat, respectively Exhibition-Standard race rules apply and no qualifier is needed. This is the main event Heat-The only time you will encounter these event types will be in Supercross Series 3. Before each race, you will have the chance to select your gate by qualifying. The qualifying race will be three laps long and your finishing position will determine when you pick your gate. If you skip qualifying, you will have a choice of the remaining five gates for the first race. In the Heat race, you finishing position will determine which race you go to next. Finishing in the Top 5 automatically go to the Main Event. Finishing anywhere from 6th-11th will send you to the Last Chance Qualifier and finishing in 12th will not allow you to advance. In the Last Chance Qualifier, you need either finish in 1st or 2nd to advance to the Main Event. In the Main Event, you will choose your starting gate based on your best finishing time in the Heat. Moto-You will only encounter Motos in National Series 3 and they are somewhat similar to Heats. Just like with Heats, you will have the chance to qualify for the first race. The same rules apply with qualifying. Qualifying will only determine your starting position for the first race. Motos are a two-race set. After each race, you will receive points based on your finishing position. Winning will earn you 25 points and then points go down from there to 12th place earning 9 points. Your gate selection will be determined by your finishing position in the first Moto race. The rider with the most points after the second Moto race will be the winner Elimination-Eliminators will have you racing against no more than 4 or 5 other drivers. At the end of each lap, the driver in last place will be eliminated until only the winner remains Face-Off-As the name sort of implies you will only race against one other rider. You have two laps to get out ahead of your opponent Overthrow-These races are actually challenging because you are the last rider to start the race. There will be 5 opponents and each one will start one second after each other until you get to start. You will have two or three laps to work your way up to 1st place. If you race on Easy or Amateur, some of the riders will wipe out themselves making it easier to work your way to the front Outrunner-In Outrunners, your only opponent will be the clock. There will be checkpoints scattered throughout the track and you will have to pass through all of them to get to the finish. You will have enough time to get you to the first checkpoint and every time you pass through a checkpoint, time will be added to the clock. The checkpoints are a pair of checkered flag banners that go across the length of the track, so it is impossible to not go through a checkpoint by taking a side path. As long as you time left on the clock when you cross the finish line, you will win Rival-In Rival races, you will only be able to choose from two vehicle classes. Whichever vehicle class you choose, your opponents will all be driving the other vehicle class. For example, if you choose Vehicle Class A, all of your opponents will be using Vehicle Class B. Normal races rules still apply Section Race-In section races there will be 5 sections of the track that will be marked. Each section will begin with a banner with the section number and end with the same banner. There will always be a break between sections so one won't start right after another. Whoever sets the fastest time in the most of the sections will be the winner. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker goes to whichever rider had the fastest time in any sector ======================= MVAR3A. Waypoint Series ======================= In Waypoint Series, there will be gates placed throughout the tracks that you will have to pass through. Each gate will be marked by a flag with flares making a box around the flag. To get credit for passing through the gates, you must pass through the flares. The following races will follow Waypoint rules: -Grand Central Mud -Watershed -Ocotillo Run -Desert Open -3 Pines Cross-Country -Frost Wood =========================== MVAR3A.1. Going into the second turn, which is a little tight, first will probably make in away unscathed. However, there is a chance that the other four will run into each other and take a while untangling themselves. One thing I did notice is that the other drivers take the turns really wide, so if you can cut inside without losing too much speed, you can close the gap between you and the other drivers considerably Event 4: Kingston, Round 1 Event Type: Outrunner Vehicles Allowed: MX Lite Bikes, MX Bikes, and ATVs You will have 0:25.00 on the clock to begin the event. There are 9 gates scattered around the track. When you get to the section where the track splits into two different lanes, it does not matter which lane you choose because a gate is at the end of that straight ======================== MVAR3B. Each location has a Hill Climb, Discovery, Target Practice, and Trailblazer challenges. In Hill Climbs, you will start at the bottom of a hill and have to get as high as you can without wrecking or having time run out. Sport Buggies or Trucks are recommended. For Discovery challenges, there are blue flags scattered throughout the locations. Target Practice challenges can only be done on Bikes or ATVs. There will be X's scattered throughout the track and you have to pass through as many as you can. The Targets are all on paths, not scattered around the locations. In Trailblazer challenges, you just have to get from Point A to Point B. Complete any Challenge at any of the locations to earn 'Gold Standard'. Complete all Challenges to earn 'Precious Medals'. The only rewards for completing Challenges are extra garage credtis ======================== MVAR3B.1. Hillsgrove, NY ======================== This location is unlocked from the beginning Challenge 1: Discovery-3 Flags Flag 1: Lower-right corner of C4. Drive northeast from the Trailblazer Challenge, as you go over a hill or two, you will see a crescent-shaped hill. Ramp off of it and you find the flag at the top of the hill Flag 2: Near the lower-left corner of E1. It is on one of the islands Flag 3: A1, near the B1 border. This one is in amongst the land. I can't say exactly where because I wasn't paying attention when I passed and didn't see it Challenge 2: Target Pracetice-Orange X icon (On D3/E3 border) Gold-12 Targets Silver-8 Targets Bronze-4 Targets For the most part, all the Targets follow a path around the world. Some of the Targets are on the ground and all you need to do is drive through them. For the ones that are in the air, just hit the jump that is right in front of it and you should be able to get high enough to get it. You have 2:00.00 to hit as many Targets as you can Challenge 3: Trailblazer Challenge-Green X icon (D5, near E5 border) Gold Target Time-0:40.00 Silver Target Time-0:50.00 Bronze Target Time-1:00.00 This one can be seen as soon as you get off the boat. Just drive west of where you start. As long as you don't wreck, you should get Gold Challenge 4: Hill Climb-Red X icon (D2, upper-left corner) Gold-200.0 feet Silver-130.0 feet Bronze-85.0 feet You have 0:15.00 to get as high up the hill as you can. If you can make it all the way to the top, you will earn the Gold. About halfway up, there is a bump on the right side. You will see it as you make your way up, so just move to the left. The event will end if you wreck =================== MVAR3B.2. Reyes, AZ =================== To unlock this location, you need to win National Series 1 or Omnicross Series 1 Challenge 1: Hill Climb-Red X icon (D5/E5 border, about halfway) Gold: 365.0 feet Silver: 245.0 feet Bronze: 100.0 feet This one is around where you drop into the location. You will have 2:05.00 to get as high up as you can. When you start, aim for the little carved out part straight ahead. About halfway up, the hill will flatten out if you need to stop. If at any time you wreck, the event will end Challenge 2: Discovery-3 Flags Flag 1: D3, close to the center. There is a light colored spot on the map. The flag is in that spot Flag 2: B4, low-center, near the B5 border. There is a lone cactus nearby Flag 3: B2/C2 border, in the middle near the light spot in B2. You need to run up the mountain from the south side and there should be a little ledge, a ways up the side of the mountain. The flag should be in there Challenge 3: Target Practice-Orange X icon (Upper-right corner of E5) Gold-12 Targets Silver-8 Targets Bronze-4 Targets For the most part, this challenge is easy. After hitting the fifth Target, you will see two ahead of you; one in the air and one of the ground. Go for the one in the air first. After you land go back and get the one on the ground because it will make the Challenge easier. You will have 2:30.00 this time to hit all 12 Targets Challenge 4: Trailblazer-Green X icon (Upper-left corner of E2) Gold Target Time-2:00.00 Silver Target Time-2:30.00 Bronze Target Time-3:00.00 This Challenge will end up taking you to the other corner of the world. I took the valley until I came to the road and took that up around the side of the mountain. Then I jumped off the side of the mountain and respawned about 1,000 feet from the finish and still got Gold. This may or may not work ==================== MVAR3B.3. Icarus, MT ==================== To unlock this location, you need to win one of the following: Supercross Series 1, National Series 2, or Omnicross Series 2 Challenge 1: Hill Climb-Red X icon (Along the D4/E4 border) Gold: 335.0 feet Silver: 220.0 feet Bronze: 115.0 feet This challenge can be somewhat tricky because the hill you have to climb is covered in mostly snow. If you have bought a UTV or any big vehicle, it could come in handy for this challenge because it is less likely to wreck. You have 1:50.00 to make it as far up the hill as you can without wrecking Challenge 2: Discovery-9 Flags Flag 1: Northern B4, on top of mountain. The flag's relative location is almost due east of where you start from when you first enter the world Flag 2: B5, near the center. This flag is along the makeshift road, at the base of one of the mountains Flag 3: Just inside E5, southeast of the Hill Climb Challenge. This flag is in cave that can be accessed from both the north and south Flag 4: E1, in the northwest corner. There is a road that runs right in front of it. Can't miss it Flag 5: D2, just west of the E2 border. This one is on top of a hill. Once you get near, you should be able to see it Flag 6: C2, a bit south of the center. If you travel due west along the top of the mountain from Flag 5's location, you should see it as you get closer. Flag 7: Southwest corner of B2, at the end of the road. When the road along the mountain ends, the flag will be next to a mound you can jump off of. Flag 8: Along the A2/A3 border. This flag is southwest of where you found Flag 7. If you jump off the mound next to Flag 7, you should land near a waterfall. This flag is at the bottom, near where the water pools Flag 9: Northern A1. If you follow the road up the mountain next to Flag 8, it should lead you here. If you pause the game and look at the map, this flag is almost directly under the 'A' at the top of the map Challenge 3: Target Practice-Orange X icon (Southern B4, along the road) Gold-15 Targets Silver-10 Targets Bronze-5 Targets This one may look harder because the are more Targets, but it isn't too terribly hard. Be careful on your landing after hitting the fifth Target because unless your wheels are lined up, you will end up spinning on the snow. Also, on your way to the 11th Target, look above it to find the 12th, because it can be easily missed, I'd know. You have 2:45.00 to get all the Targets you can. The is a really soft time limit, allowing for a few mistakes and still being able to win Gold Challenge 4: Trailblazer-Green X icon (Center of C1) Gold Target Time-0:45.00 Silver Target Time-0:50.00 Bronze Target Time-1:00.00 This Challenge will end up finishing by where the Hill Climb Challenge is located. This is by far the hardest Trailblazer challenge. Even the slightest miscue can be the difference between Gold and Silver. Follow that road that you start out on. When you get the point where the road goes to the right, jump up and onto the road on your left. Take that road down and then to the right to the finish. If you start losing control of your vehicle, Silver may be the best you can earn unless you restart. When I first did this one, I was using the Dragon Fire UTV and it took a few tries messing with the stats before I finally got lucky and beat it and only beat it by a few tenths of a second ======================= MVAR3C. National Series ======================= The National Series races take place outdoors. For the most part, these courses aren't as technical as some other race denominations. However, the courses tend to have bigger jumps and rhythmic sections, sort of like Supercross does. The following races will follow National rules: -Lost Meadow -Sugar Ridge MX -Moto448 -Prairie Valley -Sandwick -Pine Top -Armadillo Flats -Razorback =========================== MVAR3C.1. National Series 3 =========================== Thor presents Pro Nationals! Most points wins the event at the end of this two-race "Moto" format. For more info on Moto events, see the beginning of the MotoCareer section. To unlock this Series, you need to win National Series 2 and there are no awards for winning this Series Event 1: Moto448 Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each If you chose to qualify, Gate 1 will get you through the first turn without too many chances of colliding with the others Event 2: Prairie Valley Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each If you qualify and choose Gate 1, you may still have other riders cutting across the track and getting in your way. Around halfway, where there is a pole in the middle of the track, be careful not to get to close to the outside barrier. If you get too close, the game will say you went off track and reset you Event 3: Sandwick Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each By the time you get to the third lap, this track will be destroyed. If you hit a groove the wrong way, you can go flying off of your ride. Don't be surprised if you last lap is your slowest Event 4: Pine Top Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each This race isn't too terrible and the track won't be completely torn up. For these races, you'll want one of the gates towards the right (13-16) because your first turn is a right instead of a left, like in the pervious three events Event 5: Armadillo Flats Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each For these races, starting position really doesn't matter. The first turn is very wide and it isn't until about a quarter of the way through the course that you start getting tighter turns Event 6: Razorback Event Format: Moto Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps each You will want a higher gate for this track. The first turn is very tight and half of the field will end up wiping out because everyone tries to take the turn tight. If you stay wide and take the turn wide, you should be fine. Event 7: Lost Meadow Event Format: Faceoff Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 2 Laps You will race one-on-one against Josh Grant. If you can get him to wipe and run a clean race the rest of the way, you should have no problems with this event Event 8: Kingston, Round 1 Event Format: Overthrow Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps ======================== MVAR3D. Omnicross Series ======================== In Omnicross, you allowed to use any vehicle you wish. However, the physics seem to be messed up the most. In Omnicross, I'd always use a Buggy and if I tried running over Bikes or ATVs, I'd end up getting spun by them and they wouldn't be knocked off there ride. I would strongly suggest using using a Truck or Buggy because the tracks are very bumpy and Bikes and ATVs will just be thrown around constantly and will probably be respawned a few times each race, especially in Series 3. The following races use Omnicross rules: -Iron Gate -Barrance del Diablo -Lago Dell 'Orlo -Black Water -Desperacion -Picco di Altus ============================ MVAR3D.1. You will start out with 0:25.00 on the clock and there are six checkpoints scattered throughout the course. This course is set up weird and the finish is the same spot as where the first checkpoint is located ============================ MVAR3D.3. Omnicross Series 3 ============================ Maxxis presents the grand finale of Omnicross! To unlock this Series, you need to win Omnicross Series 2 and winning won't unlock anything. These races are longer than previous Omnicross races, all the more reason to use a Buggy or Truck Event 1: Iron Gate Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 2: Barrance del Diablo Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 3: Lago Dell 'Orlo Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 4: Black Water Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 5: Desperacion Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 6: Picco Di Altus Event Format: Exhibition Vehicles Allowed: Any 5 Laps Event 7: Iron Gate Event Format: Faceoff Vehicles Allowed: Any 2 Laps Your opponent for this race will be James Stewart. There are only 5 checkpoints along the course. Even with a clean run, you will probably only have a few seconds left on the clock before each checkpoint ======================== MVAR3E. Freestyle Series ======================== In Freestyle, you will have 2:00.00 to impress the judges with as many tricks as you can pull off. Repeating the same trick and wiping out can hurt your score. You will be judged on 4 different aspects of your run. Difficulty (Yellow) will be based on how difficult each of the tricks you pull off is. Execution (Green) is based on how well you pull off the tricks and how clean you land them. Flow (Blue) will be judged on how well everything flows together, like going from jump to jump. The final aspect is Variation (Red). Your score will be determined by how much you repeat tricks. At the end of the run, your scores will be given to you for each category as well as an Overall category. The highest score you can earn in each category is 10. Freestyle tracks will never be the bonus events. The following are Freestyle tracks: -Trickaholix -Triple X Jam -Air Nation -FMX Dog Fighters -X-Style Shoot-Out -Dover Street Marina ============================ MVAR3E.1. Supercross Series ========================= Supercross races take place inside of stadiums. There are many lines in Supercross races some may have varying terrains. There are also many jumps in Supercross races that include single jumps, double jumps, triple jumps, step-ups, table tops, and whoops (sections of small repetitive bumps). Before any event begins, you will be able to ride around in the MX Compound. Within the Compound, you can practice on most of the jumps that you encounter in Supercross. If you go off track in Supercross events, it may be hard to get back on track yourself because most of the tracks are lined with blocks that don't have many holes in them. The following are Supercross tracks: -Stonepoint, Round 1 and Round 2 -Manchester, Round 1 and Round 2 -Fort Dodge, Round 1 and Round 2 -Kingston, Round 1 and Round 2 ============================= MVAR3F.1. This course is incredibly tight. There is virtually no room going through the first turn, or almost anywhere for that matter. This course is more technical, mainly because the straights aren't very long. This course is definitely my least favorite course among all race types in this game Event 6: Kingston, Round 2 Event Format: Heat Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 3 Laps This is also another first time track. Compared to the previous course, there is a lot more room. Overall, this course is not too terribly hard. After the heat, you should have a good idea of which line to ride Event 7: Stonepoint, Round 1 Event Format: Faceoff Vehicles Allowed: MX Bikes and ATVs 2 Laps Your opponent for this race will be Jeremy McGrath. If you can make him make a mistake early, or is he does it himself, you should be okay for the rest of the race as long as you try and keep it as clean as possible Event 8: Barranca del Diablo Event Format: Overthrow Vehicles Allowed: Any 3 Laps For this race, choose your best vehicle class. Whatever vehicle class you choose, your opponents will be driving vehicles from the same class. ============================ MVAR3G. Gold Standard: Earn a Gold medal in any MotoCareer Free Ride Challenge Win any Trailblazer, Target Practice, Hill Climb, or find all Discovery flags at any Free Ride location 20. Step Into the Arena: Complete an Online Playlist match Finish any race online and this will unlock 21. To the Victor...: Place 1st in an Online Playlist match with 11 human opponents Just a fancy way of saying "Win online against a full field." Supercross races tend to fill more than any other race denomination 22. Leveler: Finish ahead of any opponent with an Experience Level higher than yours in an Online Playlist match As long as you beat someone who has more experience than you, you will get this. Winning is not required, but makes it a lot more likely 23. You're It!: Win a Tag Mini-Game in an Online Playlist match In Tag, you have to find the Tag ball and hold onto it for a minute. However, holding the ball, will cause you to go slower. If anyone tags your ride, they automatically assume control of the Tag ball. 24. Snake in the Grass: Win a Snake Mini-Game in an Online Playlist match The idea of Snake may sound familiar. There will be a "Snake Trail" that follows your ride and if anyone touches a trail, whether it be an opponents or their own, they will be eliminated. You can drive around, under or jump over "Snake Trails". The idea is to knock out all opponents until only one rider remains 25. Moto Skills: Complete MotoSkills 1, 2, and 3 You can practice MotoSkills at any time by pressing Triangle at the Main Menu. MotoSkills will unlock in order 26. Master Skills: Complete MotoSkills 4, 5, and 6 Same as 'Moto Skills' 27. Trickster: Perform any airborne Trick and land successfully The easiest trick to do is the No Hander (Up/Right/Up). If you land and have to use wreck avoidance, you should still get this one 28. Hat-Trick!: Perform three consecutive, unique airborne Tricks in one jump It is possible to do this in the MX Compound before an event starts; however, it may be a little easier in Free Ride or Freestyle. Landing is required 29. Coming on Strong: Lap an Opponent in a race This can easily be done by going into Arcade and setting the AI to Easy. You could also get it during Omnicross Series 3 or Champion Sport Track Series 3 due to the length of the races 30. Ace in the Hole: Win 10 Holeshots On most of the courses, there will be a white line after the first turn. If you are the first to cross that line, you will receive credit for a Holeshot. 31. Showboat: Pull off three unique tricks in a Race event This is probably easiest done in Nationals or Supercross. If you do it in Nationals, Pine Top is probably the best choice. After about three-quarters of a lap, you will being going uphill and then there will be jump with rocky ridges on both sides. After that jump, there will be a long downhill run to another good jump. That gives you about 2 chances each lap. If you choose Supercross, most track have enough big jumps for you to get this afte one lap 32. Tuning In: Adjust a Tuning Slider and save the new setting. To adjust the settings for your rides, hit Start while viewing the ride in the garage. For Bikes and ATVs, all you can do is adjust Braking and Suspension. For all the other vehicles, all stats are adjustable, just save the settings when you're done 33. Keeping it Clean: Complete a Race in a Machine with all body panels still attached to your vehicle This can be done easily in Champion Sport Track. Go into Arcade and make the race 1 lap 34. Skeletal Remains: Complete a Race in a Machine with no body panels remaining on your vehicle This is easily done in Omnicross. Even in a Buggy, you may still bounce around enough to lose all your panels. You should probably get this be Omnicross Series 3 if you don't have it already 35. Wreck-less: Avoid a Wreck Sometimes you won't always land cleanly and a yellow directional arrow will flash on the screen for a few seconds. Flip the right analog stick in the corresponding direction to unlock this 36. Long Jumper: Land a jump distance of 300 feet or greater When you first land in Reyes, AZ Free Ride location, follow the road that is east of where you land. If you follow the road, there should be a ridge to the right that has a path. If you have enough speed, you should be able to get it 37. Wheelie King: Hold a Wheelie Trick for 150 feet or longer To keep a Wheelie long enough, Reyes, AZ will probably be best because of the wide open area at the landing site as well as being able to gain speed running down the hill to the east. However, in National Series 1 at Moto448, when you start, you may notice that you are pulling off a Wheelie without actually pulling one off. As long as it stays until the first turn, you may be able to get it that way, too. 38. Stoppie Master: Hold a Stoppie Trick for 75 feet or longer For this one, use the same method as with 'Wheelie King' in Reyes, AZ. As you run down the hill, move the right analog stick forward and hit the brakes. You may need to feather the throttle a bit, too Silver Trophies (7) ------------------- 1. Ironman or Off-road: Win all Series in MotoCareer Winning all Series sort of goes hand-in-hand with the individual Series Trophies. However, you need to win each of the Exhibition, Moto and Heat events. This does NOT include the Free Ride Series 2. Champion of Champions: Win all Face-Off Challenges in the MotoCareer There are 4 Face-Off Challenges and all of them are in the 3rd Series. To unlock the Face-Offs, you must place on the podium in the first three events in the Series. After about three-quarters of a lap, you will being going uphill and then there will be jump with rocky ridges on both sides. After that jump, there will be a long downhill run to another good jump. That gives you about 2 chances each lap. If you choose Supercross, most track have enough big jumps for you to get this afte one lap 40. Wreck-less (5): Avoid a Wreck Sometimes you won't always land cleanly and a yellow directional arrow will flash on the screen for a few seconds. Flip the right analog stick in the corresponding direction to unlock this 44. Close Calls! Wheelie King (15): Hold a Wheelie Trick for 150 feet or longer To keep a Wheelie long enough, Reyes, AZ will probably be best because of the wide open area at the landing site as well as being able to gain speed running down the hill to the east. As long as it stays until the first turn, you may be able to get it that way, too. 48. Stoppie Master (15): Hold a Stoppie Trick for 75 feet or longer For this one, use the same method as with 'Wheelie King' in Reyes, AZ.
