Gold Character Title 1 Complete 12 different trials using the character.
Gold Character Title 2 Complete 14 different trials using the character.
Gold Character Title 3 Complete 18 different trials using the character.
Gold Character Title 4 Complete 20 different trials using the character.
Gold Character Title 5 Complete 22 different trials using the character.
Red Character Title Beat Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty using the particular character.
Silver Character Title 1 Complete 2 different trials using the character.
Silver Character Title 2 Complete 3 different trials using the character.
Silver Character Title 3 Complete 4 different trials using the character.
Silver Character Title 4 Complete 6 different trials using the character.

You can unlock new colors and taunts for each character simply by playing a set number of matches with them. See below for the exact numbers:
Color 3 Fight 2 matches with the character.
Color 4 Fight 4 matches with the character.
Color 5 Fight 6 matches with the character.
Color 6 Fight 8 matches with the character.
Color 7 Fight 10 matches with the character.
Color 8 Fight 12 matches with the character.
Color 9 Fight 14 matches with the character.
Color 10 Fight 16 matches with the character.
Taunt 2 Fight 1 match with the character.
Taunt 3 Fight 3 match with the character.
Taunt 4 Fight 5 match with the character.
Taunt 5 Fight 7 match with the character.
Taunt 6 Fight 9 match with the character.

Defeat Seth by getting at least one 'Perfect' and not losing any rounds winning the second round by using a Super or Ultra combo. When you meet this criteria you will fight Evil Ryu after defeating Seth.
When you are playing as Cammy, Ryu, Chun-li, C.Viper, Guile or Seth hold ALL the kick buttons immediately you see the 'Now! Fight your Rival!' message appear on screen.

Using the normal three round setting defeat Seth under the specified condition to face the corresponding Boss.
Unlock Akuma:
Do not lose any rounds and get a Perfect Victory.
Unlock Evil Ryu:
Do not lose any rounds and get a Perfect Victory, then defeat Seth with a Super or Ultra combo.
Unlock Gouken:
Do not lose any rounds, get a Perfect Victory, get 10 First Attacks, and have 5 Super or Ultra combo finishes.
Unlock Oni:
Do not lose any rounds, get a Perfect Victory, get 10 First Attacks, have 5 Super or Ultra combo finishes, then defeat Seth with a Super or Ultra combo.
