This has been said before, but the pro's in the game can't do triple flips very well. So if you want to beat the Throwdowns here's what you do. First, pick your pro. Then, make sure you go to the Back of the Library, it's the easiest place to do triples. Always, always, 360 or 180 your triples. There is a very low chance the pro will be able to do both the rotation and the triple flip. You will have to do some filler tricks, as you have to wait until a trick disappears from the "Already Done" list before you can do it again. And that would be endgame, my friends.

all you have to do is wait till both caroll and the other guy both miss there trick then keep doing tripple moves like heelflips kickflips vairels and nollie flips (they have to be triples or quadruples)
first get of your board and throw it with r2 then turn around jump and hold r2 while in mid air then while holding r2 tap triangle then you should go high in the air
There is a few tricks they can not do those tricks are triple kickflips nollie triple kickflips triple heelflips and nollie triple heelflips no pro in Career mode can do those.
Ok I will tell you how to do shuv-its(plz note this isnt pop shuv-its.) my friend figured this out one then told how to do it.
So all you have to do is manual revert and pop shuv-it at the same time.
Now note that this is really hard to do and you will fall(alot) but you will get it eventually so don't get discouraged.
