Get ALL the items in Hard Time Attack mode and defeat ALL 16 Colossi. Then at the 'Title' screen hold 'Circle'.

When you have killed a Colossus return to their petrified bodies and if you press 'Circle' your character will kneel down and pray. This will open Reminiscence mode where the graphics will change to old film appearance and you will see a flashback.

The following rewards can be earned by completing the corresponding tasks in Hard Time Attack mode. You will receive one item for every two Colossi you defeat in this mode.
Harpoon of Thunder (Long Range Projectile Weapon):
Defeat 2 Colossi.
Sword of the Sun (Reflects Light Even When in the Dark)
Defeat 4 Colossi.
Fruit Tree Map:
Defeat 6 Colossi in Hard Time Attack Mode
Cloth of Desperation (Parachute):
Defeat 14 Colossi.
Shaman's Cloak (Decreases Damage Taken):
Defeat 8 Colossi.
Lizard Detection Stone:
Defeat 10 Colossi.
Shaman's Mask (Decrease Damage Taken):
Defeat 12 Colossi.
Queen's Sword (From ICO):
Defeat 16 Colossi.

Complete the game once to unlock Time Attack mode and then complete the following tasks in that mode to earn the corresponding reward. To begin a challenge you must walk up to a statue in the temple and pray (press Circle).

Defeat 2 Colossi.
Cloak of Force:
Defeat 4 Colossi.
Mask of Strength:
Defeat 6 Colossi.
Lizard Detection Stone:
Defeat 8 Colossi.
Fruit Tree Map:
Defeat 10 Colossi.
Mask of Power:
Defeat 12 Colossi.
Cloak of Deception:
Defeat 14 Colossi.
Flash Arrow/Brown Agro:
Defeat ALL Colossi.
