How do you set up 2 controllers to play a 2 player game? Everytime I try, it only recognizes 1 controller for both player. What am I doing wrong??

To use multi controllers non tournament
go to load screen depress L3 load charter with first controller. Once char loaded go back to home screen. Depress PS button on second controller to turn on second controller lite on control blinks wait to recognize
Once recognized. L-3 move to empty char box load char. Once loaded go to play now pick course and make changes you want for the course and have fun
