As far as I know, it can't be shut off, but if you buy a new, larger house, you get a larger fire meter. Hope this helps!
I read that it goes by the ram on your console
I do not think it is possible to get the fire meter off but I have a question.. Does anybody know...
Is Sugar Maple Coast the Only Town On Sims 3 Pets? I'm sick of The Same Old Neighbours
You cannot take the fire meter off whatsoever. Even on creative mode. You can't take it off on any other Sims 3 game on any console.
You can't take it off, but the amount of things in your backpack, household storage and offsite storage contribute to the fire meter, so sell all unwanted things!!! hope this helped!!!
I'm sick of having the fire meter I can't buy anymore things and I want to but I can't and I don't want to move cause I❤️My house and I would love to decorate it more but I can't there has to be a cheat to get the fire meter off there has to be I barely have any decorations in my sims household that's why I would like more space on the fire meter it's at red and I want it to be at green but I don't know how someone plz help
You can turn off the fire meter.Just press L2,R2,L2,R2,and then press select and start at the same time. This should shut off the fire meter.
Go into your inventory and sell seeds, gems and other colectible stuff you don't need my fire meter was full but when I sold the 2 death seeds and it went down by approximately half
I've had luck with reducing the fire meter by selecting sledgehammer from build & buy, then removing my garden plants one by one. I have 12-15. Then I undo until all my plants are back. I've done this a few times over a few days successfully reducing full fire meter to yellow. It stays yellow until I harvest, then I deal with the produce (store or sell) then do the sledgehammer thing again. I'm on Xbox.
You can use the magic lama cheat then place it on your property and select it and disable karma consequences that will stop all disasters hope this helps
Here you go! Go onto build and buy mode, select sledge hammer and delete things you don't need on your property. This should work and lower the fire code. Hope this helps!
Hey, I'm really late but if this helps anyone the it wont be in vein, well a method I've been doing is continually saving and turning off my console, then restarting. I find that the fire meter goes down just a little bit every now and then, it can get frustrating but with time you can make a huge house packed with stuff this way, I made a four story building doing this, when you do this method you can only get a couple items in every time and can be time consuming but if you really want your house to be the way you want it this can do it, also I should mention I'm only done this on an xbox 360, so I can't say for sure if it helps on any other consoles, also since there will be more items than the game sould be the game does freeze and lag more than usual, I think the fire meter is in place on console versions of this game to deter to much items and thus stalling or freezing the game, good luck
OK guys. And gals. This isn't a quick fix, but it just dawned me on me that the issue is quantity and depreciation. You can keep basically any number of items in your "backpack" storage.
The oy thing I can think of that APPRECIATES in value are the paintings. Maybe the books post mortem, I'm not sure.
So if you have the minimum of accessories (end tables, curtains, make rugs from carpet squares in build...) And every generation have a artistic perfectionist and only decorate with those, or keep them in you bag until your ready.
Everything else seems still like cheating. There has to be a way to do it legit. It won't be a "quick win" but maybe that is more what the designers had in mind for longer term game play. And the paintings take up less "burn space" I imagine because they are less interactive and require less memory. The stationary things seem to run smaller than say a bed, fridge or TV. The plants have a lot of active stages. So that's probably why those fill up faster.
Anyway. Just my thoughts. Haven't tried it yet, but the therory is sound.
I think when the creators added the Fire Meter to this game they ruined the game. It's taking away soo much fun that could've been but can't. Why would they be mean and create such a thing.Put a limit on our enjoyment and creativity!
