Question for The Sims 3 Pets

I was finally able to move my sims into the Goth Manor. But now only one sim is in the house. The other sim and the pets are stuck outside. I have tried everything to get them to go home. I keep getting the "thinking bubble" over ther heads showing the foot prints in the crossed out circle like when something is blocking their path. But there's nothing in the way. I have even tried going into build/buy mode and deleting part of the fence around the house. It is a glitch in the game? Am I going to lose all the progress I made getting the house? :((

It must be a glitch I think yuhh should move to another house and the since yuhh already kbow how to get the manor then do it again and get the house back.......if this happens again the yuhh should build a room around the sims outside then see if they can move around in it....if so then expand the room past the part where they can't get past and while their in there see if theyl go past it but only to the end of the room. This alows them to move slowly to their destination but not compeletely to the house that way they will be ppast it and then delete the room and see if they get in the house if not then see if they will walk around......then go see if theyl go throught the back door......if not the go to the front door delete it then expand the foundation and wall toward the sims and see if they will go in it then if that doesnt work the do what I said at first again and see if any of these things work.....this has never happend to me it just seems like these are some things that might work.

when it showed with a icon on the town map it was filled with red lights and it was misty out side with small spirits my pet could go inside but my sim couldn't. maybe wait until it is filled with spirits catch them all and matbe if the more spirits you catch the more sims can live there.
