For the Boots of the Crusader you need to travel to the shrine of Kynareth, west of the Imperial City, a map marker should show the way if the quest "nature's fury" is selected. Once at the shrine you need to speak with Avita Vesnia about the Boots of the Crusader. She will not disclose the info if you are during a fight. Then the map marker will point to the Grove of Trials, proceed there. After a few minutes an over-sized bear named "Forest Guardian" will appear and start to attack you DON'T fight back just avoid it and block his blows after a few hits he'll simply turn around and stop and a stone will move opening a door to a cave. You can also put on the Helm of the Crusader and use the lesser power "serene beauty" on the bear. The calming effects will prevent the bear from striking you altogether. I have found NO info about what happens if you KILL the "forest guardian" ....

To retrieve the Mace of the Crusader you WILL need the Boots of the Crusader. Once you have them proceed to the chapel in Leyawin. You will be approached by Carodus Oholin. He tells you he has failed to pass the test of Zenithar and as stayed to protect the mace. You will need to pray to Zenithar at ST. Kaldas' tomb. After doing so , you will be trasported to a dark dimension. With a broken floor and no way to cross...seemingly. Putting on the Boots of the Crusader at that point will reveal a hidden passage to the Mace, take it and you will be transported back to the chapel's undercroft. Make your way back to the chapel to find it under attack........
