Ok, I'm assuming that you just jumped across the map by getting arrested. You can try to get back by going to the many places near the water. If the words like, Hennigan's Stead or Thieve's Landing show up, that's when you need to get arrested again. The game should take you to the closest jail. Hopefully you should be far enough into the New Austin area that you go to the MacFarlane's Ranch jail. That's my advice. Try that out.
