You go to a vendor and hit L1 (I believe that's it) and it switches over to your inventory. You can sell just about anything in it too.

I'm talking about the part where you were you are in the task you have to do for your weapons or it will you check your status and your inventory I don't see some of the inventory I have there when I go to select the shop or at Jennys

When at a vendor - you need to press SQUARE/X (PS3/360) to switch over to your sell menu. Then use your top shoulder buttons to switch between ammo and junk/supplies.
