How do I play multiplayer

I can't play multipayer because when I turn both remotes on it wont let me join

Hdmi tv has to be in correct screen mode. Go to display settings on ps3 settings. Change it to hdmi. Hit yes on the next question. U also have to have more than one user set up on your playstation. Load the game and have the second player hit start on remote and then follow the promos from there. Hope this helps

My PS3 had HDMI set as standard output, but I couldn't add a second player.
Then I found a screen setting in systems and changed to 1080 lines HDMI output (from 576 lines) and it now works!
According to my son I am now "The best dad in the world"...

In order to be able to play this game with multiple controllers on the same screen you need the display resolution to be 1080. This can be changed in Settings - Display Settings. If your setting is less than 1080 it will not give the option for any more players to join - this is poorly documented. Also PS upgrades can reset your display setting which is why some people report losing this feature.

You need to have a television with HDMI set to 1080p. Press START on the controllers you wish to connect, and the screen will split, meaning you can now use the second controller to play!

You need to go to settings on ps3 not on minecraft then put hmid and put atomatic and click yes.
