The 1911 can only be released be entering the correct password in the extras menu. So you'll just have to wait for kojima to release the passwords.

Wait, do you mean the World War 1 pistol? It is unlocked when you get the Fox Emblem. Or the Hound Emblem. It's one of the two.

Yes, you can unlock it by winning one of these emblems, the password method, I never heard of that...
