When you stated hold the square button it allows you to control the arrow I did that did not work using sixaxis what else can I do. Is there way to just skip this part of the game

There is no way (that I know of) to skip sections of the game. This part can be done with Aftertouch. As already stated, hold square to activate aftertouch. That means when you fire just hold down the button instead of releasing it.

You will go into aftertouch mode by holding down the button when you fire. If you'r not going into the mode, be sure it's turned on in your options
