Question for Gran Turismo 5

Does anyone know of a way to make the Sabastain Vettel X2010 challenge easier? I can't even get close to winning it.

My friend says if you can, borrow someones steering wheel and peddle set-up. That's the easiest way to make it easier. For some reason the d-pad and analogue sticks are really bad for racing the high grip cars such as the FGT and Ferrari Formula 1 cars, the X2010 as well.

If you can't do that, I'd suggest just keep trying

For what it's worth, for me the experience of driving the X2010 is less like racing a car and more like flying a military jet fighter. The quickness and speed require an entirely different level of awareness I guess you could say.

I've been doing 'Like the Wind' for creds with it and I often crash because the car comes up on the others too quickly.

If you really want the car and can't win it in the Vettel challenge, as mentioned in a previous thread, it is a prize car when you reach level 35 in B-SPEC. Some people don't like B-Spec. I find it has its advantages.

When you do get it, if you want a real wild ride, go to arcade mode, professional, indy superspeedway and you'll be racing against 15 other X2010's.Insane!

Other than that, the machine is a beast, not easy to drive even on an oval, and I think the Vettel challenge may be the most difficult offered in any version of Gran Turismo.

Good luck!

I have GT3 and GT4 also and nothing even comes close to the difficulty of that challenge.

The key is to change the acceleration and Brakes to the trigger buttons. Once you have full control over them, it gets a lot easier (although still difficult - reccomend B-spec to get one as above and get lots of practice in A-spec).

P.s. thanks for the tip on Indy.

For the vetted challenge, my fastest lap time was 1:08 for monza and I went off the edge at the end of the second lap. I can't possibly imagine how I could get 2:10 for at least bronze.

An easy way to get money is completing the b spec. Get your level up to level 24. Use a formula gt and race the level 24 gran turismo series. As long as you change the tires to rain for the races that has rain, your in for easy wins. And the best part you get a million credits at the end of it. You can do something else and come back every 15 minutes or so and restart the next race. Race to enjoy the game..... Don't race and get addicted to unlock the car you want ..... Let the computer do it for you.

By the way in level 30, even if you get 20 million credits to buy the x2010 from the dealership, It won't allow you to purchase it. You have to reach level 40 to buy the car.

Plus the x2010 is not even a real car!!!!!!
