Is this a good game and is a ps3 worth getting or should I get a xbox 360

Well in my opinion the game play and style is not as good as San Andreas, but the graphics are awsome and the characters have a new depth to them. The size o the maps however did not impress.
And as for the type of consol, well that depends where you post the question, oviously this page will favour PS3, my opinion would be to try them both out.

Get whichever yur friends have, then you can play online with them.
But, I'd get the xbox 360 if I were you.
Better game choice, game graphcis ase just as god as the ps3
Its cheaper, better online content and microsoft give better customer support.

Gta4 is just as good on both consoles and I agree with deadlysnips get the console that your friends have so you can play online with them. Personally I prefer the ps3 because you once you bought the console thats all you need. With the 360 you need to buy accessories like memory cards, hard drives and xbox live membership. As things stand at the moment xbox do have more game choices but thats going to change between now and 2009. As for customer service I think the ps3 customer service is good, my ps3 recently broke, 14 months after the purchase and Sony replaced it free of charge within 3 days

Yes the game is good a bit short but good.As for which console id choose the ps3 because it's cheaper,quieter,it'll keep getting better because of the frequent updates.

I heard you can put songs for your mp3 on the xbox version, not on ps3 though

Ps3 has better graphics (blue ray) and is less noisy. Cheaper in the long run because of the free online play which despite what 360 fanboys will say is just as good as xbox live. Also it improves with updates and it never getts killed by a three red light virus. I have ownd both so I know
