My question is... When you are entering y'r cheats, Does the Cord need to be plug'd into the controler to enter the " left left right down square ECT... " I only seem to be able to enter my cheats in my phone... Why is this?

That's the only way you can enter cheats,via phone.
Because their is no cheats like up.down etc. You enter them in the phone because it's easier and they get saved in the phone under cheats.This saves time if your trying to get health if your getting chased by the law or nearley dead on amission.
You are supposed to enter the cheats into the phone...
Some sites include old ps3 gta san an cheats on gta4 walkthroughs so unfortunately all the good permenant cheats don't exist for this game
All cheats in GTA4 are entered via the phone ingame.
