using mobile phone for cheats

Do you have to have ethernet connection in order to use the mobile phone? I a, having problems with my connection. Tried everything under my network settings... HELP PLEASE!

Nope, not for cheats. You do to use the mobile, to go on multiplayer online, but not for cheats.

You earn the mobile in Roman's third mission, maybe that's the problem.

When I first got the game, I thought I was having internet problems also, but it turns out that you don't need a connection for cheats. If you complete a few missions for your cousin, Roman, which should be the first few missions you do, he will give his old cell phone, even though you start with one, and you will be able to raise the phone higher than your old one, this means you can now see all the numbers on the keypad so you can now put in cheats. Also sorry to tell you this but this game went for a more realistic feeling, so there are only a few cheats. The most helpful for missions could possibly be the wanted level down cheat and the health cheat.

Haha, no. Press Up on the D-pad, and if entering cheats, press Up again.

Press up twice, to open up the phone keypad to put the cheats in.

You don't need an internet connection to put them in.

You will get the phone in a mission but it's used to call, get messages and play mutiplayer.

its your car really damaged and cant start it?get another one and push it above a street than get back in and let niko start it by itself or if want do it pull it more if this not works call 911 on your phone succes!

Push up twice to enter numbers or cheats on your mobile keypad. To use cheats push up once and press X to enter the phone menu this is where the cheat menu is.
