Question for God of War Collection: God of War

I am stuck on God of War 1 collection disc for the PS3.
My chests won’t open and I don’t know why. They used to open until I got further into the game.
Did I upgrade too soon or am I doing something wrong? It is impossible to complete one scene with the minotaurs that need to be frozen on the circle in the floor, because I cannot access the magic chest!

Sounds like your disc glitched on you... Better to restart a new game and if that doesn't work delete the game data and restart all over!
