I cant find them!
I was doing the water purification mission and I told my dog and my follower to wait at rivet city so they don't get killed and I did the mission and I went back to rivet city to get them they werent there, I checked outside vault 101 but dog meat wasnt there and I checked at underworld fo charon but he wasnt there either, please help it sucks playing the game without dogmeat!!!

You probably is looking in the wrong place. Did you leave them on the ship?
There is a glitch in the game where your followers will fall into the ground and fall endlessly. That is what most likely happened. Hope you find them.

One time I told dogmeat to look for something and instead of moving he completely disapeared and I couldn't find him near by, then some time later I was exploring the wasteland (halfway across where he disapeared) and found him attacking a robot

Hmmm. Sometimes the game glitches and the followers basically "reboots" and ends up somewhere, possibly random or appear right with you.
