Whats the deal with the hand grenade training?

You have to throw the grenade that make the enemies red. 2 guys will appear in the middle towarda the top.. Shoot them and continue on.. That was a b#tch

I'm have the same issue. I only have flash, threat, and emp grenade. There is no smart grenade when I cycle through using the x (on xbox 360). How the heck do I get through?

I also have this problem. Has anyone found oit how to fix it?

Press the right bumper for smart grenades and others.

Use the Middle mouse button to use Smart grenades.

The smart grenade is on your RB. The others are LB. I am stuck attempting the second grenade training. It won't let me select the console a second time. Arghhhh

Spoke to Activision regarding my inability to select the console in grenade training. They suggested disconnecting power cord, which will reset the game cache. This differs from rebooting by switching off console or at the wall. If this fails, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

I was having the exact same problem. After the first round of grenades, you are supposed to activate the console again, but it doesn't change to the square. Go back to the menu and replay the Atlas section. When you get to the grenade section, throw the first set of grenades, move to the console, and it should change to the square button. Press and hold to start the second round.

You have to go the press pause and go to save and quit

Go back into the gun demo change guns and run a few rounds. Then go back to the grenade demo. Worked for me at least

Save and exit the game. And then load it back up. It will work then

I went back to last checkpoint ie firing range and swapped both weapons with spare ones on the racks at rear wall stores, then returned back to the grenade test and button is able to activate phew :-)

Go back and swap both guns at the wall store it's works :D

This is all helpful, but does not actually work. I bought this game, and I've just been sitting here at this damn grenade training for weeks. This makes me never want to buy a Call of Duty game again. So frustrating. Does anybody have anything else on how to get past this grenade training glitch. I've thrown the first 3 grenades it asked me to, and now I am just trying to access the screen to do it again like the training guide says I have to do. I am barely even into this game and I am already so pissed. Anybody got genius feedback

After the trainer ask you to activate the console, throw the 1st grenade that makes red stuffs, then you switch to EMP to take down the drones, by pushing the square button to change to EMP mode, 1st round you only use the L2 button for grabbing and throwing the grenades. You have to change to the R2 for grabbing and throwing grenades to get the smart grenade mode. Good luck guys. It worked for me.
