LIFE ABSORBING UPGRADES QUESTION:
With the "Absorbs life with(super Moves, Basic Attacks, spirit attacks, etc.) " type upgrades, how exactly do these upgrades work?
Does the enemy need to be defeated for it to work?
Or
Does it work every time your character lands hits?
Please explain this to me. Thanks!

If you are playing as a character who has these upgrades, your player will gain a very small amount of life every time you hit a living enemy with an attack. Hitting nonliving objects such as rocks, walls, or even the darkened corpses of defeated enemies will not add anything to the yellow life bar. Even if you are doing the correct type of attack on a living enemy, you will have to do several attacks to make any noticeable difference to your life bar. If the enemy is blocking the attack, you will still gain life. The enemy does not need to be defeated for it to work. The life-absorbing effect works on both bosses and normal enemies. Reading over this response, I realize I am not the best writer, but hopefully my explanation helps.
