Codex question

I need some help with the codex.....Im Just starting out on the first area that has four codex My question Is do I Need to collect all four before I meet up with leo to fix my hidden blade OR do I have to do each one one by one to bring back to him?

You must get all four first, then go to Leonardo. Make sure you collect all of the Codex Pages, you will need them at the end of the game.

I am on memory 14 and got all codex pages but don't know how to put them together.Whould someone help me pleas?
