Select 'Quick Race' and pick 'Miyatomi Track', 'Drift' and '20 Laps'. Then choose the Mazda RX7 and only upgrade the brakes. If you drift on straights and corners you should score about 50,000 - 60,000 Driver Points in about 20 minutes of racing.

To get easy Driver points in Quick Race mode select 'Race mode', '15 opponents', '20 laps', and 'Hazyview Eight' as the location.
Go to quick race then press drift in the figure 8 track . Next do 1 player(your self) and press race you will get 8000 cash
