Fast travel to the Sawtooth Cauldron and jump over the edge to reach the sawtooth stilts. Turn left and go through the Smoking Guano Grotto until you reach the Main Street Reservoir. Then head straight until you reach the end of the map killing any enemies that get in your way. Now shoot the five barrels in the following order:
1. The blue barrel in front of you.
2. The red barrel to the right next to the hut.
3. The green barrel in the water (it might take some maneuvering to get the barrel to spawn. Either move closer, or more to the right to get the barrel to spawn).
4. The yellow barrel to the left, behind the barricade.
5. The purple barrel to the right.

At the Highlands go to the Hyperion Bridge waypoint and drive over to the eastern side of the map where the Hyperion Base is. Then go through the base until you reach a cliff. Below you will see a tent and if you drop down and go to it either Handsome Jack or Claptrap will radio in and recite lines from the following video:

Go to the far eastern area of the Caustic Caverns map and search for the Crystalisk monster named Blue. When you have found him follow the video below to get the Dark Souls Easter Egg.

In the Caustic Caverns underneath Sanctuary search near the furthest edge for a shallow incline. When you find it go along the left-most cliff beside the incline until you come to some Minecraft blocks. When you break these you will enter an area with Creepers from the Minecraft games. Defeat the Creepers to get to get a golden ore block with a normal outfit, and a special outfit.

To perform the following trick go to Three Horns Valley and then northwest on the map to the hideout where you fight the Bad Maw boss (next to the entrance to Bloodshot Stronghold). Pick up the Eridium Mad Maw drops when you have defeated him and then go to the Bloodshot Stronghold and choose the 'Save and Quit' option. When you continue the game return to Three Horns Valley and defeat Bad Maw again to get more Eridium. This can be repeated as many times as desired.

At the Sanctuary talk to Dr. Tannis in the Crimson Raiders HQ. This will unlock the 'Splinter Group' Level 14 side-quest where you can now follow the video below to find the Easter Egg.

When you reach Sanctuary Hole after Chapter 9 (northeast area of the map in Three Horns Divide) look for a cliff and drop down to reach the entrance of the Caustic Caverns. Then go to the 'Guardian Ruins' at the northwest corner of the map and find the mine carts on the train tracks. When you have found them turn right just before you reach the large door at the end of the tracks and go straight and jump over the two cube blocks. Then turn left to enter a cave with a some Minecraft blocks which you smash to enter a secret Minecraft area where you will find Creepers and blocks of gold, diamond, irridium etc. Defeat the enemies there to get special minecraft head and skins for your character. If you do not get the desired head and skin for a character or are not happy with the loot you got you can always choose to 'Save and Quit', and then continue your game to get different loot in this area.
